As I recall, the last time the Cybermen went head to head with the Daleks, the Cybermen lost by a wide margin. 🙂

The Master reminds me of James Bond villians. Instead of shooting him outright, they often devise an elaborate means of killing 007, and then leave the scene, giving him an opportunity to escape. Or they will launch into  a long monolog giving 007 an opportunity to figure something out.
