@IndigoMoose Because only rather advanced Time Lords can choose the face/body. The Doctor simply isn’t that good at regenerating.

Besides, he’s usually regenerating in a bit of a hurry…

I like the “ship’s log” idea for the Tardis.

I also like the idea of a head cannon, though sadly feel its only likely after Dalekisation……

@IndigoMoose I too like the idea of an explanation that includes the Romana and Six regenerations. And like @Bluesqueakpip, I can’t believe that we are completely done with the Danny/Orson thread. For one thing, the existence of Orson is a big loose end; for another, as lo…[Read more]

I suspect there is some explanation forthcoming – otherwise why would Moffat have Samuel Anderson play both Danny Pink and Colonel Orson Pink?

@indigomoose — I do like the idea of a ‘senile’ TARDIS.

@IndigoMoose This is cool. We’ve rambled a lot in the past about DW as mythology, stories, fables, and related things. If the Tardis is the one telling us the stories, it could explain a lot about the Doctor as we are shown him: sometimes a hero, sometimes a buffoon, sometimes mad man in a box, depending on how the Tardis is feeling about hi…[Read more]
