How’s about camo-Daleks using light folding technology to blend into their surroundings, another great use for the sonic screwdriver…. The Doctor enters a seemingly deserted spaceship, his senses prickling with nervous tension. He whips out the sonic and as he waves it the sonic field illuminates sections of Dalek….

Now there’s a thought – what if BBC Worldwide share of funding for Doctor Who becomes the biggest part of the programme budget?! (chuckles at thought of complete apoplectic meltdown of UK fandom)

Yes, it would be brilliant to see Ian Chesterton once more. In fact, I have decided that the following is my first bonkers theory for 2014:

That it was not just a nostalgic sop that meant that Ian’s name was on the sign outside Coal Hill high school in the 50th. Nor a bit of nostalgia that Clara is teaching there.
As promised, two tracks of 17th century English music. (Another time, so as not to swamp the thread and bore everyone, I will share some lovely Italian and French music.) Hope you enjoy! First, a very famous lute song by John Dowland, as sung by the amazing countertenor Andreas…[Read more]

Good point about that original TARDIS sound, someone with a better memory than mine will have to tell us whether it was ever used again. The Dalek sound is great, so atmospheric.

@MonochromeDimension – I’ve just finished the special of “The Five Doctors” and enjoyed it much! I nearly choked on my “pocky” when the Third Doctor described the Fourth as “teeth and curls”. Hilarious! And I was happy to see The Master. Besides the Dalek, The Master is one of my favorite villains. Now, back to the Seventh Doctor I shall go. 🙂
