I think it is because he discovers the only way to keep the clue in existence following a reset is to dig below the level of the reset of the garden. <p>Jenna  as Bonnie/Clara  acted both parts perfectly. It was eery to see Clara trapped in the pod but creating a safe place in her mind just like when she was trapped in the Dalek and making souffles. Clara is one heck of a strong willed person.</p>
