<p>Either of the first two would work with the coloured scarf but you&#8217;re right that the third would need the reddish scarf to be accurate.</p>

<p>No, I wouldn&#8217;t rate either as a companion.</p>
<p>The Brigadier had UNIT to run and River spent most of her days in prison.</p>
<p>My understanding of a companion, is one who travels with the Doctor all the time, every episode,</p>
<p>until they leave him.</p>

The Five Doctors isn&#8217;t one of the best ever but it is fun. The Deadly Assassin also is not one of the best but still good. An Adventure in Time and Space is well worth watching. I loved it. David Bradley is wonderful as Hartnell. (as would be expected.)</p>
