The Police Box TARDIS can be explained as the Hartnell Doctor ‘stealing’ his previous TARDIS – without knowing that she was the TARDIS he’d used before. It actually fits better with Sexy’s comment that ‘she stole him’ if she’d known the Doctor in his/her pre-mind-wipe incarnations.
I don’t know if the Doctor himself knows how to travel the timelines. Poßibly just the TARDIS operating in 11 dimensions can work it. The only time I can think that the Doctor did it (other than Pyramids of Mars, where it was inevitable) is the implied reunion between 11 and Amelia at the end of Angels take Manhattan.
Just on the timelines question, yes there is a lot of history here. They are distinct from Alternate Universes in that they exist within our universe as possibilities and can be accessed only by time travel. From one starting point a myriad of possibilities are possible and the Time Lords used to monitor them all looking…[Read more]

I enjoyed the last season, mostly, I thought it was a nice, long playing story about grief, informed by, but not focusing on the Doctor’s own multiple bereavements, which I think helped clear the emotional air a little. What arc there was was essentially the relationship between Graham and Ryan.
What if this actually isn’t our master at all, but a master from another reality, considering these episodes are clearly about beings from another dimension. The master could just be a front runner leading his army behind him.

Well, this was fun. 🙂 I think Dhawan is doing a great job with the Master so far. I guessed nothing (although I did wonder why O seemed to smile so much!).
Interesting debate guys. I’m with you, think it would make more sense if this incarnation of the Master is inbetween Simms and Missy purely because his characteristics and personality seem more aligned to Simms.

Apart from Missy almost being converted to good in The Doctor Falls and Dhawan’s incarnation being so des…[Read more]
