<p>Steven Moffat said so early on &#8212; that this Doctor is &#8220;an exposed nerve&#8221; of emotion &#8212; and Capaldi played that beautifully.  It helps to have a face that reads like a contour map of the Highlands, of course.</p>

<p>I think the &#8220;official&#8221; name these days is Wessex coast (The heart is Dorset). So a South 🙂 . I assume the accent was realistic for the area, but to be honest I don&#8217;t know.</p>

<p>My guess is that Doctor 12 will be with Doctor 1 at the time of his regeneration into Doctor 13. <p>Its always been about the doctor. Not the companions &#8211; as much as they play a fundamental role..  it&#8217;s about the doctor and that should never be forgotten.</p>
