I may be sentimental but I love the fact that the Doctor refused to use Amy’s glasses as payment for the moped. Although there was a temporary sadness that Clara had use her mother’s ring, I think it is brilliant that the writers used that to display how much Amy and Rory meant to the Doctor. Also, she got the ring back so no harm no foul.
