@Phaseshift Yes! Or Newton or Darwin etc. Also get young ones
to think about science if we were to see the Doctor sharing tea with
scientists. I’m glad that Musk named his company after Tesla too!
    David Bowie – definitely!

@Ichabod @Mudlark Just because all the snakes got ‘voting’ rights surely
doesn’t guarantee democracy. In fact even though Colony threw the word
democracy around to be honest he struck me as more of a collective. Sort of
like the Borg collective from Star Trek. It occurred to me when Mudlark
said the words hive and collective. Separate…[Read more]

    @PhaseShift Mucho thanks 🙂

  • lisa replied to the topic Doctor Who News (3)

@Bluesqueakpip Perhaps a mod can move it over? I was thinking since its not
about any episodes on the Doctor’s show however I can take your point

    *Possible Spoilers Alert!*

Just some possible Scooby suggestions. Also included are Ian Chesterton and opportunities for
some past Doctors to visit the show. But no announcements.

@Ichabod Hey I think you are onto something. We can make him the oversight interface
mechanism like Giles was for Buffy except instead of a hell mouth we get a. nethersphere
    b. space and c. time.
But if Danny comes back from the Nethersphere I want him to bring Seb along!

  • lisa replied to the topic On The Sofa (7)

@Pedant well ok – that was you 🙂 I guess I got a bit fuzzy just then lol

  • lisa replied to the topic On The Sofa (7)

@pedant oops ! But I think its also there

  • lisa replied to the topic On The Sofa (7)

Its a bit of a shame that they killed off Danny in a way cause now he doesn’t
get to be part of Coal Hill’s new show. Unless of course they decide to bring him
back. Quite honestly, how shocking that wouldn’t be.

This accounts for why we saw a good amount of Coal Hill School last season

An interesting albeit a touch pompous critique

plus there was this which was connected to the above article for all the Buffy fans too

@Mudlark Thanks for the clarity! That’s really a great perception and I like it!
But … I wonder maybe if Mr. Sarff just had some innovative notions in regards
to his personal life choices? 🙂

(Just kidding… having a silly moment)

  • lisa replied to the topic The Witch’s Familiar

@DenValdron I also prefer the notion of Doctor as rebel. Thanks for the concise history.
It’s nice to go back over it again.
It seems to me that there have been lots of little hints in new Who about the Doctor as
a hybrid rebel. But there are also a few I recall in other places. For instance 1 I like
from Lungbarrow about the Doctor having…[Read more]

  • lisa replied to the topic The Witch’s Familiar

@Bluesqueakpip Perhaps the hybrid Missy is talking about is the Doctor himself?
Remember in ‘The Power of Three’ the cubes cause the hearts of people over the whole Earth
to stop. But one of the Doctors hearts stopped too. Maybe 1 of his hearts is human
and the other is Galifreyan? It could be 1 clue that he is the hybrid. However I’ve
    seen…[Read more]

@Ichabod There’s a Mrs. Sarff that has democratically voted to hunt Missy
down to avenge her late SO. As we speak the Mrs. S. was patiently lurking around
and waiting for the moment when Missy was peaking again into her compact mirror.
Then she wanted to use her Medusa wavy locks to turn Missy into glossy granite .
    But Missy used her…[Read more]

  • lisa replied to the topic The Witch’s Familiar

I will miss not having Missy in the next episodes. Its obvious that Moffett has
been having a blast writing all the dialogue for her and Missy loves being Missy.
In fact it appears SM loves Missy so much that he’s given her a gift.
In the scene in the square (last episode) when she complains of a caffeine
    buzz-monster I was thinking “wow” she’s…[Read more]

@Kharis I noticed that when Clara was tied and hanging she has both legs tied
as opposed to 1 leg tied and 1 bent as it appears on the tarot card I saw. So my question
is if you happen to know if that changes in any significant way the tarot message?
This is me being a bit nit picky over probably nothing and I’m really thinking it was…[Read more]

@Icahabod @Denvaldron You know guys I was thinking the same thing about Davros
having half a body as was I can imagine everyone else. So at a point I thought that
Davros probably still had legs. How they became separated from the rest of him
‘who nose’. They say amputees still can sometimes feel their missing parts.
    Maybe Davros still…[Read more]
