To me it just came off as a bit of a parody rather than a proper episode. Obviously, there’s comedy in the show, but I think they just went a little bit overboard on this one. For example, the stuff with the kids felt like something out of a bad Cbbc sitcom.

Fun fact: That’s actually Joe Egan miming to Gerry Rafferty’s vocals in the video. The reason being that Rafferty had left Stealers Wheel at the time the video was filmed (he re-joined later that year though)

This was a massive hit back in the 70’s, and it is hilariously bad.

I was watching the first season on Blu-Ray recently. I used to watch the show as a kid, but haven’t seen it in years. Only watched the first 5 episodes so far, but they’ve all been great so far.
