I loved this episode in every way – it just seems to contain everything you expect from Doctor Who in general and pulls it into one perfect storyline.

I loved the ‘Doctor’ at 16:35 – It’s so perfectly added, and still gives me a twinge.

I remember the thing that first got me into Dr Who – a copy of the Time Traveller’s Almanac (Now my most prized possession) that I would read hours on end before realising I could just go back and watch every episode via BBC iplayer. I was young then, yes. The first eposide I ever saw was The Impossible planet / The Satan Pit and it remains my favourite (2 part) episode so far, next to Midnight and Turn Left.

Tennant’s still my favourite, no amount of badgering will change that.
