What were 3-4 issues you had with this iteration or series.
I would say (in no particular order):
1. Too crowded a Tardis. Consequently not enough story for all the leads.
2. The first female Doctor. There was not enough written about the gender change. What a wasted opportunity. Instead, he decided to turn the Doctor – traditionally a maverick but ordinary Time Lord, into a demi-god.
3. Overly preachy writing when making political points.
4. Lack of respect for the show and its former writers, showrunners, actors and prod staff manifesting in wholesale changes to the canon (not a word I really like using but it’s a good fit here) that undermined many years work by many of the above people, many of which were more talented than he was. Ego trip.
It wasn’t all bad. But, as I’ve said before, and to borrow a phrase ‘the good ideas weren’t original, and the original ideas weren’t good’.
