Oh, wow.  Just watched that and it was painful.  Like when your favourite football team is doing really badly but you still support them and love them.

I just had to check the IMDb rating on that episode in case it was me, but no.

    Dreadful.

@jimbomcmaster – Here’s me trying to think of a reason why the doctor’s dream is passed on to all humanity. I think you are probably right, he is just interested in it because it happened to him. Hmmmm….

@juniperfish – I agree, her best performance so far. I like the new dynamic rather than flirting again.

That was back to its best. I enjoyed last week, couldn’t help thinking it was a bit of a series filler though.

I was always likely to be anyway, but I’m completely won over now.

@devilishrobby – I think you’re probably right on the BBC thing – the other theories I’ll have to give more thought to!

At the risk of igniting an independence debate, it seemed to me that this episode had something to say on the subject. With quotes such as: –

” Independent state of eyebrows …

    I’m Scottish … I can complain about things …

    … I’d probably blame the English …

… in the name of the British Empire …

    …. Glasgow, I think ….

    … Not sure you’ll get a vote … ”

If Doctor Who is considered to be that much of a British Institution – as say the Queen or the pound, were the writers trying to use their influence on the independence referendum given the timing of the episode?

    — I’m not Scottish or have a bias either way – just an observation!

This has probably been mentioned … Just saw on imdb the character name of Peter Capaldi for the movie World War Z is “W.H.O Doctor”.
