@botheyesshut, Greetings, glad to hear even Long Beach has its issues (sorry, slightly jealous in cold, damp Scotland)!

Saw this article over at Kasterborous.com: http://www.kasterborous.com/2014/12/can-catch-last-christmas-um-christmas/

Seems to include US times. Hope that is helpful and a very Merry Christmas to you!

@kermit, sounds a little like the Raston Warrior robot from the Five Doctors, but I am probably wrong. Others more knowledgeable will correct me.

D’oh! SAY goodbye. Etc.

As I goodbye to my old avatar, having belatedly realised I can change it, I have to post the inspiration for the original.

Hope that works. I even watched a tutorial. Apologies if there is an ad – never seem to know when Youtube is going to stick one in.

@avpr212, @lisa, i think Lisa has a point about Ian, but that for me falls under the category of give it time, hopefully.

I think Christmas will establish that at least one alien has a Santa! And as for encouraging the next generation, there will be a wee delivery from the Doctor, via the BBC shop. I must admit, I’m absolutely loving it. I know…[Read more]

@lisa, yup, she’s already bonkerising at age 7. Today it was, “Do you think aliens have a Santa?”

The wee one just spontaneously tore across the room, skidded up to me and hissed in my ear…

‘LISTEN!!!!!!’

Then she laughed and ran away…

@dreamerofgallifrey, just making a general point about crossovers 😉  although I can see Chris working in the Sherlock universe 😀

@dreamerofgallifrey, hi Alannah, on the Chris Addison point, I’m inclined to disagree just a touch. They already know a Sherlock/Doctor Who crossover probably wouldn’t be as good as we think, I really think for all but the utterly uninitiated, that would be too much The Thick of it/Doctor Who cross over, and for me, they need separate pocket…[Read more]

@avpr212

Hmmm. Some, I don’t know enough to care, some possibly for plot reasons, some, give them time…

Which all leads to highly dubious bonkerising and means I should go and sit down for a while

@scaryb, not sure Calmac will be sailing, think there is a bit of a front coming in, so best just stay here 😉

@purofilion

Why thank you puro 🙂

@laurellie hi, me too, I think the fact that the new series is drawing in people that didn’t necessarily pick up after the gap can only be a good thing 😀

@Arbutus, I still don’t think you can beat the Islays for sheer sniffing complexity. Had a wonderful holiday there this year, Mr lefty visited the Bruichladdich (or ‘laddie) and we were…[Read more]

@purofilion, the nice malts must be sniffed, although I will admit I don’t get closer than that very often, being more of a Pinot Grigio/Chablis gal, but I will make an exception.

Relatively new to the forum, I do this thing where I forget to do good stuff, then get all surprised in middle age to discover that I do like Queen, or Pink Floyd, or…[Read more]

Not so bad, @purofilion, just lots of hurry up and wait. Perhaps I’ll persuade Mr Lefty to open the single origin Islay (from the most heavily peated malt in the world) and pass it round.

Cheers all, to respite x

Slightly smug 10/10, so I guess my ‘research’ is progressing 🙂

My sympathies, @purofilion. We recently spent 3 weeks in the local Mecure after the central heating tank in the attic went. 3 months on they are starting the plastering…

And our insurance guy had clearly come from a sales department. What is it about them?!?

@Arbutus, excellent, but I’m not telling the child that one.

Those in the uk – Just discover we missed reruns of the unearthly child on the horror channel here in UK :-

Oh, well, we’ll have to YouTube it and settle for the Daleks and the Mind robber. Looked like BBC 3 was also doing reruns (spotted the Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe) but nothing more. Hope I can catch some more.
