After second viewing and a night’s sleep…

The second half of the series seems to be shaping up nicely, next week also looks good.  Still thought the second episode was a bit ropey but I’ll forgive it as Cross […]

Hello @blenkinsopthebrave

We wondered where you’d got to.  Alas your Kennedy theory seems to have run out of steam since you’ve been gone, although @juniperfish is still clinging onto the two bowties […]

…back again after another spot in the episode.

I must admit, I haven’t been overly keen on the idea of Clara as a future incarnation of the Doctor, but have a look at iplayer at 19m 48s.  The position of […]

@juniperfish

…still watching the episode and got to the bit about the lack of umbrella stand.  As it comes just after the bit about Clara saying the Tardis doesn’t like her, could it be that it is the Tardis […]

Just rewatching the episode and a thought came to mind.  Didn’t Matt say that a clue to the 50th was ‘paintings’.  There are quite a few around the mansion in Hide.

Pause button at the ready…

Best episode of the series so far, but spoiled it by showing the badly made monster at the end.  Just nipping over to the Grauniad to see what’s happening…

…La la la la *fingers in ears and hands over eyes to avoid spoilers currently being talked about on t’other page*

Anyway, just watched Cold War again and I don’t think David Warner’s character will be making […]

Re: disappearances which look like they might be significant

Is it possible that when Clara tries to get into the Tardis she can’t because the Doctor is inside with the door locked?  He might be watching […]

…speaking about songs placed in Doctor Who which relate to 1981, what about ‘Tainted Love’ which appears all the way back in ‘End of the World’?  Britney Spears also appears, but I’m ignoring that…

Re: string

What did Hansel & Gretel use to find their way out of the forest?  I know the last time their stepmother left them in the forest,  they used breadcrumbs which were eaten by the birds, but didn’t they […]

There was another 1981 reference this week (Ultravox).  I’ve been infected by the numerology bug which has been going about.  There were a number of ’27’ refs in a the last couple of episodes.  3 x 27 = 81.

I […]

Oh yes, forgot to add, best of this run so far.  I would have been running for the sofa to hide behind if I was youngster.

Next week’s looks even scarier!

Couple of clues/refs I spotted in the first viewing:

1) Submarine is called ‘Firebird’ – ie phoenix.

2) ‘Hungry like the wolf’ – a bad wolf reference again

…aaaah just got back indoors after an afternoon toddling about in, what the media & weather people were exclaiming would be, the first proper day of spring.  Needless to say it was p***ing it down and […]

@Juniperfish

(Yes@Chickenelly I too have a Scottish granny  – well, had, bless her).

Ooh that reminds me, my lovely white-haired, imaginary granny hasn’t made an appearance this series.  I can say  that she […]

@Craig just adding my support.  Like others my computing knowledge is minimal but I do have a Paypal account!  You shouldn’t be out of pocket.

Let us know.

*lights pipe* Time for a couple of theories:

1) The ‘woman in the shop’ mentioned in BoJ will be the Doctor’s granddaughter Susan.  I’ve no evidence to back this up, other than the Doctor suddenly mentioned her […]

@Juniperfish & @Shazzbot (of the ‘utter codswallop fame)

Re: denials being a smokescreen.

Now that you bring the subject up, when I was coming back through Trafalgar Square yesterday (sans TARDIS) there were […]

@Craig – thanks for posting the Australian clip and of course for all your hard work on our lovely site here.  [The Grauniad one currently has metaphorical tumbleweed slowly drifting around.  Even Dan has gone off […]

I’ve calmed down since the excitement this morning.

I didn’t think it was JLC in the TARDIS, just someone who looked like her (ie a stunt double).  If you’ve seen the pics, you’ll know what I mean.  The lack of […]
