@miapatrick: I agree, this Doctor is more mature, but makes it very obvious that he adored River.

    @juniperfish: *waves back* He has a wonderful face, what is called ‘lived in.” but still manages to be attractive , at least, I find him attractive. SM probably didn’t want to stress the ‘baby talk* thingy, it could be over done.

    @dimchall: Great…[Read more]

    Rewatched and spotted the new sonic near the end in the control room. However, it was on screen for less than 30 seconds. I’m not the only one who missed it. The closed captions writer thought it was the sonic trowel.

    I’m about to do a rewatch, but if I recall correctly, River did have a sonic trowel. The Doctor thought it quite…[Read more]

    A little disappointed that the new sonic screwdriver did not make an appearance.

    It did.

    @Misterhoo and @puroandson

    Apologies if someone else has already replied to your query – but The General stated quite firmly that Clara’s physical death is a ‘fixed point’. We’ve seen before what happens when someone’s death is a ‘fixed point’ – Rory, who simply could not die until he finally reached the place and time…[Read more]

    If she “dies” before returning, does the universe end?

    Hard to imagine how someone lacking an actual pulse could die. Contrary to the excellent argument posted earlier (that the Doctor was the only one to witness Clara’s death, and now he can’t remember her), I think her death is a fixed point. The Doctor remembers her story, and may…[Read more]

    @misterhoo

    By dying, is Clara “practically immortal”? In theory, as long as she returns to her moment of death, there will be no cataclysmic paradox that will tear apart time and space. However, she plans to take some adventures in her TARDIS before that happens. Isn’t she taking a big risk by delaying her return? If she “dies” before re…

    Urgency of death matters. There is a huge difference between having 5 mins to live to 5 years to live. People tends to care less if things happen in the distant future.

    I also doubt that she will die.

    I think Clara can only die when she goes back to the fixed point in Face the Raven. I am not sure if it is fixed anymore. Only Twe…[Read more]

    @misterhoo I think you and @lisa are definitely on to something. Why did he say to Clara “This is Doctor Disco” and not just the Doctor. My guess is it’s his code word for it not being the real Doctor.

    @Mudlark couldn’t agree more. See you at the pub and I’ll spot you a tonic. (:

    @lisa Physics was my emphasis, but I teach astronomy, oddly enough. I am still chewing on your notice to the Doctor referencing himself TWICE. He never calls himself Doctor anything, so this immediately stood out to me too. Originally I dismissed it as poor chara…[Read more]
