    @puroandson I’m very sorry to hear your mother is unwell but I wish her a happy birthday and a speedy recovery as we all do here, in the mean time how about treating her with some jelly babies!

    @ichabod I hope you’ll make a full recovery soon as well, and I’m sure the itching will die down shortly.

    @trillianwho Hello, I hope you enjoy it here…[Read more]

    @missy

    Green and red always remind me of Christmas, my favourite colour would be either yellow or blue.

    @puroandson

    I don’t think I could join you in the arts and arty chapter (I’m quite bad to put it mildly!)

    On the DC vs Marvel thing, I’m not into superheroes that much but if I had to pick I’d be picking DC, mainly for Batman!

    @dalektor

    The Evil of the Daleks is definitely in my top five possibly even in my top three, it’s a fantastic story and one that was originally intended to kill off the Daleks forever (mad I know!)

    The three human Daleks are actually I find quite creepy and Maxtible is one of my favourite characters from classic who. The one thing I don’t like…[Read more]

    I got cerulean and I don’t mind the colour blue, I disagree with the quiet life on Gallifrey though, who’d want to live there when you’ve got a bloody TARDIS!!!!

    @1997whovian

    My favourite companion is Jamie from the second Doctor era because of the incredible chemistry he had with Troughton, he was also quite a funny character from an interesting background (highlands of Scotland during the battle of Culloden)

    If we’re talking about the new series then I think Rory or Donna, not sure?

    I’m just going to…[Read more]

    Have you got any ideas of which classic episode you will watch first if not I’m sure all of us here can help with plenty of suggestions!

    Smith and Capaldi are both excellent (well isn’t every Doctor!) Capaldi has bee my favourite of the new series so far. I thought I would miss Smith to much so I wouldn’t be able to like Capaldi at…[Read more]

    @1997whovian

    Hello, nice to see another new face, my favourite Doctor (as you can probably tell by the profile pic) is the second doctor Sir Patrick of Troughton (he’s an absolute genius) and my favourite episode is The Power of the Daleks though a number of episodes come close!

    What are your favourites?

    Have you seen any of Troughton’s…[Read more]

  • @mudlark @janetteb

    I’m away just now so I had to record the series (I’ll let you know what I think of it once I’ve watched it though it might be quite sometime before I watch it all)

    I’ve been looking forward to it as it seems like just the sort of programme I love, just hoping that Mark Gatiss will revive A Ghost Story For Christmas again soon.

  • @janetteb

    I did indeed watch We’re Doomed and thoroughly enjoyed it! I do remember noting at the time the similarities between it and An Adventure in Space and Time though I think I enjoyed the latter more.

    I highly recommend the film and I believe you won’t find it a disappointment but it isn’t as good as the old TV series.

  • I haven’t watched the TV Movie for years, I’ve just got to many bad memories of it, but maybe I should give it another another chance I don’t think PM was particularly bad but the movie as whole was not for me.

    I would love to see more of PM perhaps a spinoff with his Doctor would have been wiser than “Class” (which I’m not looking forward…[Read more]

    On this forum it means “Before Gap” which means episodes before the show was cancelled. So basically any classic series stuff, new series episodes are known as AG episodes “After Gap”

    This makes me think though, seen as there were two gaps 1989-1996 and 1996-2005 what does the Paul McGann movie classify as BG or AG, I would say…[Read more]

  • Although episode 1 of this fantastic story (a possible contender for my favourite of all time?) is the more widely discussed and talked about I think this single episode is my favourite of all time! It’s in contention with part 3 of this story and any of the 6 episodes of Power of the Daleks.

    The thing I love about this episode and this story is…[Read more]

  • Hello I was just wondering whether there will be another rewatching of a BG episode soon (we could have a vote for which one!) as I see there hasn’t been one for a while and I feel that we all need something to talk about whilst there aren’t any new episodes coming soon, if there’s a reason why there hasn’t been a rewatch for some time don’t worry…[Read more]

  • So I’ve just watched the new Dad’s Army film and despite my worries it actually wasn’t half bad! I really enjoyed most of it and found that the majority of the cast were up to scratch (still can’t compare with the originals!). It was an entertaining plot that I could definitely see happening in the old series (apart from the major action…[Read more]

    Well it seems as though there’s going to be another Scottish Independence Referendum and this time I’m going to be eligible to vote!

    I’m not sure what Northern Ireland are doing seen as there was a majority vote to remain, maybe action will be taken there?

  • Here we go this is the first song I can ever remember being stuck in my head permanently and I still love it! I’m sure you’ve all heard it many times before. Enjoy!

    Here’s another song I heard not long ago and personally I just think it’s bewildering! No idea if anyone’s into this kind of stuff, I’m not anyway but thought it was interesting so…[Read more]

    Ah yes Rita! It took me a while to think of who the character was but now I remember, I haven’t watched the god complex for a couple of years now but I do know who you’re talking about. I suppose they wouldn’t have really needed her as you said because of the strengths for chemistry between the main characters at the time…[Read more]

  • I was watching Tom Baker’s City of Death the other day, again (it was very good) and I couldn’t help feeling sad when they left Duggan behind in Paris, he would’ve made an excellent companion!

    It got me thinking about other characters who would have made good companions, of the top of my head I think frank Skinner would’ve made a good partnership…[Read more]
