This is an excerpt of Symphony No.2 Romantic by Howard Hanson which played over the end credits of the film Alien. I think it’s rather wonderful.

@TheCrackIntheWall

Let’s face facts here. The Judoon are one of the greatest Doctor Who monsters of all time.

@FosterFerris Here’s a few stories per Doctor that I recommend

First Doctor:
An Unearthly Child
The Dalek Invasion of Earth

Second Doctor:
Tomb of the Cybermen
The Mind Robber
The Invasion
The War Games

Third Doctor:
Spearhead from Space
The Silurians
Inferno
Terror of the Autons
Day of the Daleks
The Sea Devils
The Three Doctors
Carnival of…[Read more]

@PhaseShift I’ve got it really bad but if it’s just a snake dance then I should be fine. I could handle a similar scene in the Bond film Live and Let Die with not much of a problem. The only kind of snake I can’t bear looking at is a Cobra but I doubt they would use one in this situation.

@Craig Seriously? Doctor and Rose over I’m your Father and the Chestburster scene. I know film magazines are legally obliged to put modern stuff top 10’s in their lists to appease idiotic twentysomthings who think their proper “cine files” because they’ve watched The Dark Knight about a 100 times, but really they wouldn’t know anything about…[Read more]

SPOILER, SPOILER, SPOILER...

For anybody who’s interested here’s the TV Movie The Birth of The Beatles. It’s never been released on any Home Video format and rarely gets shown on TV. It was the only Beatles biopic made while John Lennon was still alive and all 4 Beatles tried to stop it from being aired. The songs were performed by a Beatles cover band due to legal reasons.…[Read more]

@toinfinityandbepond I thought she didn’t do nude scenes.

@Bluesqueakpip Hey, I complained about it first.

@PhaseShift Normally I would go for Earthshock but I think I’ll go for Kinda, because I’ve never seen it. I’ve not seen most of the stories on that list but I would like to see this one because I’ve heard it’s supposed to be a classic and also because I’m recording the sequel Snakedance on the Horror Channel next week.

BTW I’ve got a terrible…[Read more]

I recently heard this in the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer and it’s pretty catchy so I thought I would upload it.

Sound of Drums is pretty good, but Last of the Time Lords is one of the worst episodes of all time. It is appalling. The scene where everyone in the whole world says “doctor” at the same time in order to free him is cringe worthy, and am I the only one who finds it odd that an outspoken atheist like RTD2 uses so many Christ metaphors in his…[Read more]

@Whisht What? no, it’s because you made a Jaws reference. I don’t even like football, which probably makes me a blasphemer considering I’m a Geordie.

@Whisht Classic

@FatManInABox I was never a big Scooby Doo fan, but I did watch it so that does make me pretty sad too.
