WhoGirl replied to the topic Series 8 Speculation/Wishlist
I’d like to see another UNIT two-parter, maybe with the fabulous Kate Lethbridge-Stewart. Then perhaps we will find out what happened to her and her colleagues in the vault with the Zygons…
I’d also like to see a story where a former companion (or two) returns. It worked so well with the lovely Sarah Jane Smith, and so interesting to find out…[Read more]

Great news about a second series, I can almost see the Hammer-Horror style now you mention it. I laughed in several places too, until it got to the creepy part! You’re right, it was great to see Helen McCrory again. She does a good baddie!
Also great news about a second series of ‘Musketeers’ after a gripping final episode. The question is, will…[Read more]

@PhaseShift I watched ‘Inside No.9’, and thought it was very good. We’re fans of ‘The League of Gentlemen’ and ‘Psychoville’, and this was just as good. My favourite episodes were ‘A Quiet Night In’ and the first one, ‘Sardines’- hilariously dark. I loved the concept of a silent episode, intrigued by how it could be done in this day and age. And…[Read more]

@CraigNixon I’m watching The Musketeers, I quite enjoy it, and it lightens up my dull Sunday evenings.
Every time I see Peter Capaldi I wonder if he knew he was the next Doctor when he filmed the episode…I’m filling the sci-fi shaped hole in my life at the moment with ‘The Tomorrow People’ on E4. It’s ok, it’s been interesting enough to keep…[Read more]

I love that the Lego model of Tom Baker comes with jelly babies! (I know I’m a bit slow but it made me chuckle 🙂 )

What a beautifully airbrushed face on the cover of ‘Tales of Trenzalore’… 😀
I think it was inevitable that some DW props would materialise in Sherlock! It’d be interesting to go back through the episodes and play spot-the-Drs-prop!

WhoGirl replied to the topic The Empty Child / The Doctor Dances
I decided to re-watch all the episodes starting from Chris Ecclestone’series, and this week saw ‘The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances’. I always forget how much I enjoy this story, and recall being terrified of the gas mask people, mainly because masks (and in particular gas masks) give me the creeps. I also forgot that it was Moffat’s first story on…[Read more]

@theprettyreckless – yeah, Torchwood is great stuff. Kept me going when Doctor Who was off air!
Loved the first three series’, but the fourth was very disappointing. Still hoping for a comeback one day… I can dream 😉Last ep of Sherlock tomorrow, hold on to your hats people……

(Probably spoilers…)
An interesting episode I thought, something a bit different and a bit more emotional than we’ve had before. In a way it was interesting to see a completely different side to Sherlock, and those drunk scenes are some of the best EVER! 😀 And Mrs Hudson- “you’ve only been gone 2 hours”. Brilliant.
Some interesting theories…[Read more] -

Me and my family thoroughly enjoyed this programme, and thought it was such a beautiful way to kick start the weekend of 50th celebrations. It was excellently written, acted and produced, and David Bradley was wonderful. The likeness between himself and William Hartnell was uncanny.
I knew little about how it all started and it was all so…[Read more] -

I thought Sherlock was BRILLIANT!!!!
So great to see it back on TV, don’t think I moved from my position on the sofa the whole episode for fear of missing the slightest thing! Liked that they threw us in with a theory that was completely wrong straight away, then teased us with another halfway through. Loved that the bloke was like, ‘was that…[Read more]

Unbelievably excited for the return of Sherlock on New Year’s Day! Can’t believe it’s been two years we’ve had to wait to find out HOW he did it. Actually, come to think of it, it does feel like two years!! The minisode whetted my appetite good n’ proper. I swear the theories have got wilder. The latest one I read was that Sherlock and Moriarty…[Read more]

I enjoyed this episode, and like some of you I had to watch it twice to really digest it.
It was good to see some of the threads tied up, and things finally clicking into place. Dorian’s ‘Fall of the Eleventh’ speech makes complete sense now.  I liked the fact he was on Trenzalore which was also Christmas, and he grew old gracefully. My sister an…[Read more]

Thanks Rob!
Yes I did, very moving performance by Mr Smith and as sad as I am to say goodbye to him, I’m excited to see what Peter Capaldi will do.
