@ichabod    The engineer would be a good companion and one I would watch and Frank Skinner is a big fan so he would be perfect. I think he would be a calming companion with no agenda except to travel with the Doctor.

@dentistofdavros    Here in rural Ontario we have mosquitoes and  the dreaded blackfly in the spring followed by the deerfly and horsefly ( they pack a punch) in the summer.But it is not all bitey insects all the time here, in the winter there are no bugs at all……….only snow.

@missy and   @ichabod     Count me in on the Chris Eccleston fan club!   I have never watched anything with him in it without being impressed with his talent. He is my Doctor, the one who got me hooked on Doctor Who and I will always be grateful to him. Go nine!

I wonder what it would be like to have Donna as a companion for CapDoc. He would try to be all brooding and mysterious and she would just say “knock it off spaceman!” Just try and protect Donna and see where it gets you. Fail to protect her and it will be even worse. Duty of care…….OY!

Welcome  @theimpossiblegirl69  I like both your timey-wimey names. Chris was the first Doctor I watched and because of his work I am still watching Doctor Who,  all these doctors later. He was brilliant and I was sad to see him leave so soon. fathers day was one of my faves.
