I must admit, I’ve seen much more new Who than classic, but… I loved Rose 🙂 I think she was a great choice for essentially a ‘new’ Doctor Who show. Yes, there was romance which is the easiest choice to make from a production point of view, but their story was sincere. And compared to other companions, I would argue that she got the best ending (for her, not from a story perspective). She saw the stars and still got the boy… Who she got to spend the rest of her life with, aging and all.

As if it wasn’t already obvious, YES, I’m jealous as hell lol

I’ve been watching classic Doctor Who on amazon prime, netflix, and I’ve downloaded the episodes/seasons missing.  Speaking of, why is that??  Like on netflix, entire seasons are missing!  I’ve been watching all that I can, but I feel a bit like a virtual River Song watching the Doctor out of order :/ which is more than just a little confusing, to say the least.  I want to watch them in order (without spending $200+ on the DVD complete series… Which I might just have to give in and do lol). Was there ever a complete collection on VHS?  I bet it would be a fraction of the price and after all, I just want to watch them!  And in chronological order lol

thanks for all the info guys 🙂 greatly appreciated!

Any further enlightening would be wonderful as well 🙂 I am American and 27; so needless to say, I was not raised in a time or place where Doctor Who was an icon or cultural past time… Unfortunately lol

I guess I’m one of the few that really liked this episode 🙁

But I do have two questions… The answers may be obvious and I’m just oblivious, but:

    1) What happened to the Master?? My bf says that it’s obvious that he went back with the other Time Lords BUT with the most recent episode coming out, that would lead us to believe otherwise… So where did he go??

    2) Since the drumming in his head was essentially caused by the events that happened in order to link the Time Lords with Earth, does he/she still hear the drums?

There are like a million posts here (well 400 something, but still), so I apologize immensely if this has already been discussed, but…

OK, ‘time can be re-written’, ‘timey wimey’ blah blah blah, SO…

At the end, Clara left Danny/ Orson’s toy soldier with the little boy on the bed in the barn.  If the past effects the future:

    1) The Doctor would have recognized the soldier that young Rupert/ Danny Pink had because it was the same toy left with him as a child, crying in his bed by a woman who first terrified him by grabbing his leg from under the bed and then said ‘don’t be scared… this is all just a dream’

    OR

He did recognize it, but pretended not to.

    OR

He didn’t recognize it because the child in the bed wasn’t him… If it wasn’t him, then who was it? And did we just change the future or create it…?

It could all be nothing, but in the world of Who, hardly anything means nothing…

    Just food for thought 😉
