I read something online–and I do wish that I could remember where it was so that I could give proper attribution–which stated that while the argument for a female Doctor is an understandable one, and worthy of consideration, the fact is that The Doctor is one of the very few action adventure heroes out there who consistently attempts to solve his problems in a non-violent manner, and is therefore an important role model for young men in the face of the massive numbers of “Let’s punch/shoot our way out of this situation” male heroes out there.

Howdy.

U.S. citizen, Whovian since the 10th’s tenure, but I’ve been catching up on the Classic stuff and quite enjoying it.  Had an idea going in that I’d connect the most with Baker’s run, and I do enjoy it, but weirdly enough, I feel more of an attachment to McCoy as the 7th.

Out of the modern incarnations, it’s really Tennant for me, but I’m not obsessive or evangelistic about it.
