Nah, Moffat’s had this story brewing since before the 50th and if there was a Clara switcheroo it would need to be properly foreshadowed. And Clara wasn’t in the room when the Zygons and Humans came together, but in the Tardis and on Gallifrey (or rather in the painting). She came in with the Doctors.

Wow. Just got through two pages of comments, and so much to think about and talk about!
@PhaseShift Yes, you called it didn’t you, in the pub? 🙂 And good point about the Big Finish Zygon stories, I had forgotten that!
@Bluesqueakpip Well, I can’t say that I spotted the switch, but I did think that conversation about middle age and th…[Read more]

Clara’s appearances seem to have really been squeezed back quite a bit so far this series.
So I’ve been trying to postulate that it maybe Zygon Clara that Missy trapped in the Dalek.
Then it means – 1. the real Clara didn’t get the hybrid zap in that instance and
2. Clara has been in a pod for a while! So @sirclockface you have an…[Read more] -

I hope we remember that two Clara’s walked out of the 50th
How do you work that out? (There is a small possibility I just had a re-watch)

@nerys @purofilion @SirClockFace (who has also floated the “she’s still a Dalek” theory)
There are also of course, the “stalky thing sticking out the the forehead” Daleks, who do not know they are Daleks until activated.

@sirclockface She could infact imagine all of this because it has happened to her. She was walking down a corridor while not being able to do something once
Valiant try, but a stretch too far for me I’m afraid. Still, who knows?
I’m honestly surprised with season 9, it has been consistently excellent and entertaining.
Well, Moffat kept pro…[Read more]

@SirClockFace There certainly has been enough references to believing your surroundings and activities are real, when in fact they are not, take ‘Last Christmas’ for example. So what you are saying is very possible.
@Pufferfish Yes, 80’s are back, but I agree with you, it’s out of place.
You both gave me a lot to chew o…[Read more]

@jphamlore I think that Missy and Ashildr’s plan is to put Clara into hell, the Nethersphere, and dare the Doctor to try and get her back, possibly at the cost of his life.
@sirclockface We never see Clara leave the dalek in S9E2 but we see Capaldi say “I’m sorry” exactly like how Tennant would say it before someone would die. We see her at th…[Read more]

Yeah – I’m a little sceptical. She’s 800 years old, has been around a bit and even been a queen. A meeting with Missy would be sufficient. Not convinced it is necessary.
The problem with Ellie is that her scrapbook of things to do started when she was 11-ish (as @pufferfish notes), so she would need to be an…[Read more]

That is brilliant. I really like this concept. But what if Ellie really isn’t dead? Have they ever said how she died?
@sirclockface This concept would certainly play into your Danny Pink/Orson theory.

@sirclockface Wow, that’s intense. No, I have not read that anywhere else.
