I’ve been rethinking this and here are my potentially bonkers predictions….

Lots of the impossible girl Clara fragments’ memories are in the Matrix Fragment, which is why the Mistress keeps calling the current Clara ‘my Clara’

The dead Claras will join forces with Danny and the unconverted personalities in the Matrix to lead a Cyber rebellion.

Danny will become the Doctor’s next companions… Handles 2 AKA Danny the Good Cyberman

Clara is pregnant and Orson is her great-great-grandson. Or Orson is a human looking Cyberman decended from Matrix Danny

I haven’t read all the posts, so my apologies if this has already been discussed.

I took this story to be an allegory for current political events.

Something represented by the moon is trying to reinvent itself and is being attacked by an aggressive infection. An infection that wants to stop, and can be overcome by, women being allowed to make decisions. Something that the Western countries are attacking. And is represented by a ‘dragon’ that looks like a star and an exploding/crescent moon.

Surprisingly political for Doctor Who. Something we haven’t really seen since the Pertwee stories about political issues like the mining strikes

The audience to Listen to ehat is said

Clara to Listen to the many characters she interacts with

The Doctor to Listen to his previous selves who are talking to him so much that all throughout the series he’s saying ‘shut up’ to each of them.

If you rewatch the episodes before this one the Doctor has moments when his speech and manner changes to reflect previous regenerations. Listen is when he seems to be getting control of it
