I have to admit, this one is a bit of a guilty pleasure. I know it’s bad but I can’t help but enjoy it. It’s all the things wrong with RTD2’s era put together to form a masterpiece of glorious stupidity.
You may be thinking how I can like this yet complain about episodes such as Aliens of London being stupid, well the difference is this episode…[Read more]

I don’t think a lot of you will have heard of this one. It’s Mother Sky by German band Can, used to great effect in a film called Deep End

Here’s a classic I fondly remember from my childhood, a cartoon about a man trying to pull women.

I’ve decided to put up one of my personal favourites. I chose this video in particular because it also serves as a tribute to my favourite actor.

One of Morricone’s lesser known soundtracks (mainly because most people don’t realise it’s him)

@Whisht Being a big Hitchcock fan I love Herrman too.

I wasn’t really that impressed with …in America (aside from the music that is), but I adore …in the West.

A chicken and an egg are lying in bed together, the chicken turns to the egg and says “I guess we’ve finally worked out who came first”

Here’s another great cover. Well technically the Big-O was the first person to record the song, but his version wasn’t released until after Cyndi Lauper released hers.

Lalo Schifrin is another one of my favourite film composers. His work on Dirty Harry is fantastic especially this track.

Here’s a beautiful cover of Yesterday by Ennio Morrocone from the soundtrack to Once Upon a time in America

The song doesn’t start till about 1:38

@PhaseShift It’s a shame that the version of Song for 10 on the soundtrack album is a diffrent version.

I didn’t see this when it was first aired. I forgot that it was on and when I realised it was I had already missed the first half, so I didn’t bother to watch the rest. My philosophy is that if you’re going to watch something, watch the whole thing, there’s no point in only watching part of something.
Anyway back the episode, I quite liked it when…[Read more]

Common People is actually my favourite song of all time, but I love the Shatner version almost as much.

    Speaking of bizzare cover versions….

@JimTheFish It’s not that I think that he’s a bad writer, it’s just that, as @PhaseShift suggested, I don’t particularly like him as a writer. I can’t speak for his non-who work as I haven’t watched any of it, but there are very few of his Who episodes that I would call good.
