@purofilion It’s @TheKrynoidMan

@Whisht
I only asked if anyone is a fan because they seem to be somewhat underrated nowadays.

@blenkinsopthebrave
I just found the original to be really slow and plodding. It could be that I saw the film first and was just used to seeing the film move at a faster pace, but I saw the two Dalek films first and that didn’t affect my enjoyment of the serials they were based on.
It also didn’t help that I found Rooney (the hero in a way)…[Read more]

Is anyone else here a fan of The Yardbirds?

@blenkinsopthebrave

I disagree with your assessment that the film version of Quatermass and the Pit is badly directed.

I recently bought the two Not the Nine O’clock News DVD’s, and I have to say its one of the funniest shows I’ve ever watched.

I didn’t really like the TV version of Quatermass and the Pit, much prefered the film.

My favourite Hartnell’s are The Keys of Marinus and The Dalek Invasion of Earth.

My favourite Doctor would probably be either Tom Baker or Jon Pertwee, although I think that Peter Capaldi might end up eclipsing them when series 8 starts.

I don’t know if it’s what you’re talking about but according to IMDB, David McCallum was in Frankenstein: the True Story from 1973, which also has Tom Baker in it.

@FiveRoundsRapid Curse of Fenric has some supernatural elements too.

@FiveRoundsRapid Ghost Light possibly

@Serahni if you’re looking for other Doctor Who forums, Planet Mondas is a good one. I’m a member there myself.

I wasn’t really that interested in how Sherlock faked his death. Any answer, no matter how clever it is, couldn’t possibly live up to the expectations the fans have had for the past 2 years. Also its never explained how Holmes survived his “death” in the books,  so Conan Doyle didn’t think it was that important either.

For those interested, they start filming series 8 on Monday.

Thank you @TardisBlue
