@badwolfie My personal headcannon for 9/Rose Tyler had been that while Eccleston doesn’t remember her, he maybe remembers her subconsciously. Hence the instant connection and fondness. @badwolfie and @denvaldron – agreed. I think Moffat just gave an explanation for why the Eccleston Doctor picked Rose – but he also gave an explanation why The Momen picked Bad Wolf as her appearance.

@badwolfie   I think you are correct.   The War Doctor’s memory would fuzz, but he should still remember the interface.   It might explain why he decided to take Rose Tyler along with him, rather than just keep going it alone.
