I don’t know if this is the correct thread for this.
To all Swedish fan. The 8th season, PC’s first as the Doctor, is now available on SVT play
(equivalent to BBC iplayer). I am a bit surprised but also hope this is a sign that SVT will
show the new season with Jodie as well.1 January 2018 at 23:32 #62936For those who would like to see more about the Christmas armistice. I can really recommend this movie.

19 July 2017 at 17:41 #61112I personally don’t think playing Doctor Who will ruin Jodie’s career. She have already done lots
of stuff before Doctor Who and I am certain she will have a long career after her stint at DW.
Any actor/actress who already have a good career in progress will do just fine after
playing the Doctor or one of the Doctor’s companions.I also think that her stint SW will open the door for bigger roles since she will have a bigger
and more global audience which will make her more globally recognized. It is a big difference compared to those who play the same role for 10-15-20 season,
like Alan Alda in M*A*S*H, Mark Harmon in NCIS and etc. 10-15 years from now I think
Jodie will be more known for one of her future roles then for playing the Doctor.18 July 2017 at 19:48 #61048@drben That is a good question, what about the previous doctors (and companions)?
They all had some accents didn’t they?I also agree with @holodeckguy.
17 July 2017 at 10:33 #60872I think it is nice to see that the BBC actually dared to go with a female actress for the 13th Doctor.
Another male Doctor with a young female companion would just have been more of the same old
and personally I think it is nice with some change.16 July 2017 at 20:10 #60806Annuntio vobis gaudium magnum:
Habemus Doctorem!
Quae sibi nomen imposuit The Doctor!I haven’t seen much of Jodie except for S1 of Broadchurch and her small role in Good Vibrations.
Will she be a good doctor or not? I don’t know but I will give her a chance and wait with my judgement
until i have seen her in action as The Doctor. -
