Um, that’s odd – sorry ’bout that. Usually check for typos in the edit window, but that rather odd transposition was missed. (I have that “never taught to type properly” problem which results in many transpositions when typing in a rsuh).

As I hoped to convey, no harm really done. Just a note for the future. Honestly, I never thought running a forum about a TV show could get so complicated. But people are people and they all have their individual quirks.

Puro, I think you lot (Aussies) will beat us Scots easily in the next game so I don’t think…[Read more]

Once again, I hate to do this, but can we keep discussion of “Next Time” to the BBC Approved Spoilers thread please? Some people (not me I might add) might not want to know about a certain actor appearing next week.

I discovered just last week that it’s not only people on this forum that are like that.…[Read more]

@JimmytheTulip Previously there was a lot of speculating about the Maisie character.
I think it was in the BBC spoiler thread from sometime during the summer months.
Ace, Romana, Susan, someone new? She was with a lion like creature in the trailer so I had a
hunch about Romana but as of now I really don’t know any more. But I cant wait to find out!

Catching up, so apologies if someone else has pointed this out.

This is also substantiated by a comment Steven Moffat made on the subject

The Zeroth Rule of Who: Moffat lies. We have it in writing (the DVD notes for Series 5); he will lie to protect a plot point. Currently I’m rather suspicious of his explanation of the Sonic…[Read more]

@jimmythetulip: Breaking the fourth wall to me is the character acknowledging and directly addressing the audience. In this context, not that I think this has any chance of happening, that would be Capaldi addressing the TV audience wondering why no one noticed the Doctor was acting so strangely.

I welcome reading your theories. Since at least…[Read more]

Clara said she was born under a clock – like in a fob watch/chameleon arch?
Except in Clara’s case it might actually be a clock. In any case I still
go with what River said which was if she goes into the time stream she would
die. That means it can’t be Clara that survived.

I mightstart to read up on some raven…[Read more]

@jimmythetulip
In regards to your theory – it does make sense why Missy would have Danny knocked off.
If she sees that Clara is getting too serious with him that would be inconvenient.
Because what if Clara and Danny decided to get married? When Clara reverts to Missy
Danny is still her widower? So how does that work? Missy and Danny as a…[Read more]

If Clara regenerates into Missy — well I think the only thing I will be able to say is “wow”.

@JimmytheTulip

By all means post away re your theory that Clara is the chamelion-arched Master/ Missy!

I think Missy’s behaviour towards Clara (calling her a puppy) rather belies that. Although I do think that Clara may well have Time Lord blood (esp be a descendant of the Doctor/ River).

I really think (and still do after this episode) that Clara is the Master, an incarnation prior to Missy who used a chameleon arch to hide her true self.

Intriguing, but I’d like to point out that in The Rings of Akhaten, The Doctor goes through Clara’s timeline from when she was born to her mother’s death, and it’s e…[Read more]

@Jimmythetulip To be fair we can probably assume that Missy has been up and down Clara’s
timeline. Its conceivable that Clara could be a Missy version but there are so many good
competing possibilities. I think they all have a real chance and it’s all feels so deliciously
fiendish to me just like Missy does!

• lisa replied to the topic The Witch’s Familiar

@JimmytheTulip I totally agree about Clara as a hybrid of something whether its a Missy version
or a claricle or possibly even the Valeyard as I have seen mentioned elsewhere. In any case as
I have said upstream I am convinced that she went into the time stream in Name of the Doctor and
died as River said she would. Whatever version of Clara…[Read more]
