After some thought, I rewatched the Children in Need special Time Crash minisode. That was a nice example of the Bootstrap Paradox.

The face part tied to the 50th special and Tom Baker’s line about it. That still had me thinking we could see Tennant or McGahn return as the Doctor but now that seems more to do with the choice of face being to remind him of his purpose as we had explained in The Girl Who Died.

Not watched yet. I am a rare spoiler lover.

I searched around a bit but where did the Doctor know Amy’s Gran from? When 11 popped in her house straight away as if he knew she would be ok with him; that got me curious. Now we have Ashdir. I sense Moffat has a strong sense of family in the show and this is why my ideas of Clara’s mum and Amy’s Gran seem important.

The serpent. The BBC paid somebody to paint the mural in mess hall of the station set. This was a strange thing to do it were not important. Still not sure of Clara dying but even after she ends her run she may return as an echo Clara.

Oh and Ashdir’s immortality: Captain Jack not alone? Cassandra? I think Moffat is tying the loose ends from the last 10 years before he exits as showrunner.

Further thought into the whole paradox and death theme; it is possible that Clara may do as she begged the Doctor last series and try to save Danny by taking the Tardis on her own.

I can see her rushing to save him by driving a car she borrowed. You can imagine the rest.

I see a lot of Donna themes here as in Turn Left and Stolen Earth. The very point made to the Fisher King about cheating death was very blunt. I am dicounting the next episodes as not hinging on the events of the finale. I think Maisie is a distraction for us deep thinkers. LOL

<p style=”text-align: center;”>Noted and acknowledged on acronyms. It can be a pain. I got used to it on other forums but this one has some lengthy posters and I enjoy the great pasion here for the show. The level of intelligence is higher here as well and that is a comfort.</p>

Read the stoy written for the Trans Siberian Orchestra for their album on Beethoven. Off topic but a good fictional twist on history; something Doctor Who enjoys often as well.</p>

Also further confusion with the Netherlands as his birth and Austria as his death; his histoical impact is claimed by most of Europe. We have the same issue with Davy Crocket where Iam from. Dr Who made me learn more history. Again.

@lisa Yes,I would rather see your theory be the case. The Master is truly a psychopath and I can see her/him sacrifice Clara quite easily.

I think over the years the Master has not so much tried to impress his old friend but tried to lean him into his/her mindframe of being selfish. I look at the Master like an old friend I had as a kid that’s now strung out on meth and stays in jail. They always try to pull me down rather than letting me pull them up.

Again, River does mention a connection to Clara in her last words in NOTD. I hope that has meaning. I just feel like Moffat is going for our hearts and throats on Clara’s fate. It smells dark. Maybe not. Maybe Moffat had beens on toast and thats the smell.

My first two bits of this but by no means new here due to trolling the wonderful writtings of this forum for some time. I have resisted joining far too long.

As far as Clara’s creation being of the master? Yes, and watch closer the Rings of Akatan and the scenes of her mother. She seems to be a bit Suzan-like in her philosophy and overall being. Could she be the Master’s daughter? Then Clara her/his granddaughter?

As for her fate, I see something more dark coming and it’s much like the Anikin to Vader creation where he turns to the dark side to save  his Wife. Clara has been filled with regeneration energy from the dalek shell and is showing signs of TimeLord behavior as Donna did when touching 10s hand. She may encounter CyberDanny and use this energy to bring him back from the dead but at the despair of the Doctor. He made it clear to the fisher king that he detests the fiddling with life and death rules. I think this scene was a set up.

They then sever ties with him being distraught at Clara while giving us the happily ever after we wanted for the Pinks. Orson is proof they do survive and that cant be ignored.

So Clara dead? No, but the Dr will feel as she is to him.
