I remember somewhere Steven Moffat teased a big, controversial change to the mythos would occur in this episode…what was it?

I have noticed a mistake in which The Doctor seems to shorten his opening sentence (when he steps out of the teleporter). For example, in the beginning he says “I am the Doctor” and overall takes longer to speak that line, yet when the next version arrives later on in the story, he says “I’m the Doctor” and takes less time to speak the line, of course this is minor but surely this would affect the precise timing of the whole thing, and what explanation could possibly be given to the shortening of the line?

 

(Gosh it’s like Let's Kill Hitler with the “Watch out that bow tie” all over again!)

@countscarlioni If you look closely at the names at the beginning, “Doctor” is there, except it’s going vertically instead of horizontally.

Hi, I’ve had to post on this 3 different threads now, I wouldn’t have minded if the people said it a bit nicer rather than stuff like “It’s kind of in the title?” or stuff like that but I digress.

 

I reckon I know the resolution to this week’s cliffhanger, a few months ago there was a filming on Barry Island which featured Capaldi with a parachute…and he was wearing the same costume as this week’s episode.

Gonna be honest this episode wasn’t quite what I was expecting, I think it’s just that the pacing is different to recent series so I need to adjust.

That scene with Missy telling the story of the Doctor and the Android Assassins and how it could have happened with any Doctor “they’re all the same to [her]” made me think about episodes and how they would change if it was with a different Doctor.

When The Doctor waved his hand about to get a little regeneration energy, he said that it could cost him an arm or a leg “somewhere down the line”.

So considering just one hand of regeneration energy could take away something from a future incarnation, I’m gonna guess that he lost an entire body (future incarnation) when the cables were absorbing loads of energy from him.

Also, I read somewhere recently that later in the series, we are going to learn the reason The Doctor left Gallifrey, like a confession…and it was said in this episode that the dial containing The Doctor’s confession will open when he dies… uh oh

Hello, I’m new to these forums! I have been lurking for just under a year though 😛

 

I see now that the last post was in December, an awful amount of time ago, so for the really quite tremendous bump I must apologize.

 

I was re-watching The Day of the Doctor just a few moments ago and I thought about the scene where the three Doctors have a nice chat right after saving Gallifrey and I thought; “I wonder if off-screen there were other Doctors present?”.

 

As in perhaps ALL the Doctor’s went to the gallery to chat, and of course, after some time elapsed they all left but the remaining 3 we see on screen, nice thought.

 

Another thing I noticed is that in the Tower of London scene, 10 talks about how having 3 Doctors in one room will eventually cause anomalies.

So how come later on they’re all right to just sit down in one room and have a lovely little chat about the painting?

 

I appreciate how that is what some would call nitpicky, so my apologies for that, anywhom, thank you for reading if you did so and I hope to be a fairly active member of this forum, can’t wait till Series 9!
