@puroandson   Not to worry you didn’t break my internet, it seems to be working fine. As far as needing a new laptop, I feel your pain and the pain in the pocketbook. My P.C. (thats right I said PC) is pretty old and needs replacing but ……..well someday.

@1997whovian   I was quite a bit older than that when I started watching in 2005 but I too have been hooked since then. One of the things I love about Who is that so many people of different ages and walks of life can all sit down and enjoy Doctor Who.

@1997whovian  Hi! Welcome to the site. I hope you have as much fun exploring all there is here and that it helps to fill that void until Doctor Who finally returns.

@bluesqueakpip    You are welcome. Canada’s loss is Englands gain. Lets hope he helps with this mess that is Brexit.

@cathannabel     I saw them in the other order so when I heard Moriarty ask “Did you miss me?” I thought of the 10th Doctor.

@mersey  @bluesqueakpip @missy   The door has been opened wide for the possibilty of a female Doctor.  When or if?   I have no idea but I am OK with the idea. Of course it would be a challenge for any women to portray the first female Doctor but I am betting on there being quite a few who would like to try. It might be time.

    Female or male, o…[Read more]

@danh19 I really like the 10th Doctor also, although it is hard to pick a favourite. He had some fun stories and great companions.

    @thedentistofdavros  @puroandson  @Pharellman

I thought this episode was pretty good and I really liked all of the different kinds of people who lived their lives on the motorway in their  space vans.  What more can I say?  Oh yes! Cat people and little baby, cat, human hybrids and  cookies made from waste, yummy.

@soufflegirlanddaleks I just rewatched these episodes on Friday and I feel your pain. So sad to lose Rose to that other world. The scene where they stand next to the barrier in different worlds and still feel the other behind it ,is heart breaking, even on rewatch. The first time I watched this I wasn’t online and here in Canada there were no…[Read more]

@pedant    Thank you for the link, so sad how easy it is to attack people from the safety of your bedroom.(the one in your parents basement)  I get how people can love a character as I do the Doctor but he is not my creation. I didn’t invent him or direct his fate as a character in any way. He is not mine , I only get to experience what the writer…[Read more]

I dusted this one off for a rewatch today and I still like most of it. I remember the first time I watched thinking that David Morrissey would make a wonderful Doctor. Loved his “sonic ” screwdriver and his “TARDIS”.  The scene in the real TARDIS when Jackson has his mind blown is pretty cute.” Nonsense” he says, “wonderful nonsense”. That is how…[Read more]

@puroandson     Oh yes those lists can have a life of their own thats for sure. I make so many lists when I am travelling that I keep a little notebook full of them. Then when I am away I can check back at my list and know that I did indeed shut off the  -fill in the blank. Obsessive….maybe?  OK just a wee bit.

  • @puroandson       I  have been lucky enough to watch the first two series of Rake and I really like it. It is gritty and yet very funny at the same time. I hope that we get to see more. But oh Cleaver when will you ever learn to behave yourself?

  • winston replied to the topic The Fox Inn

@stitchintime             I make lists of the jobs I want to do an then check off each item as I finish them.   The little check marks beside each job gives me the incentive to keep going until they are all finished. Like @arbutus I play music while I work and sing loudly and badly but with a lot of enthusiasm.

@missy   I know what you mean about wishing the next year away. I too am at the age where I want to slow down time not rush it. Darn you Moffat!

@ichabod  Today I watched Deep breath again and was entertained and thrilled all over again. I have loved these past 2 series so much and series 10 can’t come soon enough.

  • winston replied to the topic The Faces of the Doctor

@puroandson @mersey and @ichabod    I always see the past Doctors and all their memories when I look into 12s face and see his reactions to situations around him , so I feel that all those emotions are inside him battling to appear. But how does he show them ,who is he?

The Doctor doesn’t know who he is when he regenerates “Am I a good man…[Read more]

@lisa    I agree with you about gardening! There can never be too much.

@puroandson Yes I love my greenhouse because it does have shelves to save my back a bit.Mind you they do go in the ground and there is the bending that hurts my back. My hubby has been turning my beds into raised boxes so I can sit and weed but there are still regular bed…[Read more]

Spring is here in Ontario and the tulips are blooming lovely. I am an avid gardener, growing a large portion of our veggies for the year and of course flowers. I can’t get enough of them.
