On the face of it, it’s SO ridiculous, you might think it’s noise or a wind up.

Then you remember: Greenland, ‘Dictator’ Zelensky, Gaza Vegas On Med… Piers Morgan on BBC Breakfast explaining why everyone who disagrees with him is s fascist. Cheers Piers, the scales have well and truly fallen from my eyes.

I would say that the BBC feel that RTD has not delivered the series saving coup that they were hoping for and they are fumbling in the dark right now for any way to keep their cash cow afloat. The holy grail of lost shows must be Fury from the Deep or Evil of The Daleks. Fingers crossed.

Either would be great. Anything that either completes, or is a complete Troughton story would be welcome. But…if I have to pick a single episode, then I’d go for part 4 of The Tenth Planet.

continuity… may well alienate more new fans than it attracts. But it is a 60+ year show; 50 years active. It’s more of a question of what you do with it: Cartmel wanted it to be less ‘roll out a classic monster’ and more about The Doctor himself: man of mystery revealed, not mad man in a box, that phrase itself being Moff’s deflection…[Read more]

Yes, Inferno, Caves of Androzani, Fires of Pompei… magma has Who-form.

Perhaps it’s doctor evil/panicked hero hyperbole. You only need a certain amount of flooding/volcanic activity to wipe us out, but never knowingly undersell it.
