There are now much more articles on the net suggesting the return of the Master.

As the second one (which links to number 3) points out, that third article got The End of Time and Last of the Time Lords totally mixed up. And there has been no official announcement of any sort, so the truth is quite unclear.

Fiveish Drs Sequel – Grun knows if this is a spoiler or what…

24 June 2014 at 03:58 #28429I suspect there is more rumour than fact in those stories. I have no doubt The Master will return at some stage and it is as likely to be in this series as any but I just hope that they do not cast a “big Hollywood name actor” and rather cast someone who can actually act, preferably a fine character actor. (I would settle for John Noble who is more than overdue for a cameo.)
Cheers
Janette
24 June 2014 at 08:03 #28431@janetteb Sylvester McCoy told me and several other people at a convention that he knows who the next Master is so I have no doubt he will be in the next series too.

Maybe at the end of the season the Doctor will try and fail to save Gallifrey and it will die for good, or at least in a seemingly more permanent way…
Or maybe the Time Lords will come back and then an important Time Lord will die. Or maybe the Master is going to die — again?
I hope they’re wrong about Clara dying. That would be very very sad indeed…

The old-skool helmet on the ground is very interesting….
And I love Michelle Gomez. She’d be an awesome Doctor actually….
30 June 2014 at 23:27 #28620So Kate is going to be back. Wonderful
1 July 2014 at 03:37 #28625Excellent excelent and along with her assisant “scarf girl” who now wears a bow tie I note. Thats for that spoiliery spoiler @stickfiddler

2 July 2014 at 16:19 #28646WARNING!!! – BEWARE: 2 HUGE SPOILERS (POSSIBLY ‘RUINERS’)
This link in this post contains what seem to be some of the bigger twists of the series finale.
A peek too far? Probably.

‘Shhh!’
‘Pass me the Memory Worm…’
note: post #28608 now contains (a link to) what some may also consider a spoiler too far… (a video added since I linked to it)
Curiosity killed the cat…
2 July 2014 at 17:45 #28647Hmm, normally I enjoy spoilers, but I am not sure I really needed that one.
A large part of the impact of “Asylum of the Daleks” was the revelation that Oswin was a Dalek. It was a genuine shock to everyone.
Now, part of my brain will be thinking about that spoiler all the way through series 8.
Sometimes, there is too much of a good thing.
2 July 2014 at 18:34 #28650You’re right. These spoilers are all getting too… well, spoilery… aren’t they?
Pass ’round the retcon… There are yet more graveyard
spoilersRUINERS out there if you care to look…I’m not going to link this time though.
4 July 2014 at 15:17 #28705Re: series 9, I thought Moffat confirmed he was back next year:
Of course, nothing’s certain until it is on the BBC site.
4 July 2014 at 16:20 #28706Thanks for the warning @wolfweed. I like spoilers but not ruiners so I will avoid that link. I don’t want to know anything that spoils the fun of speculation.
Cheers

7 July 2014 at 16:23 #28801Could someone PM me the link for the scripts? I love spoilers, like seriously!!
7 July 2014 at 18:47 #28807I would also like a PM. I’m not going to read all of it, I just plan to have a taste… and I can’t find them anywhere!!!
8 July 2014 at 16:06 #28828^ same here, would really appreciate it c:
8 July 2014 at 23:46 #28830Anonymous @@stickfiddler “PM me a link” honestly, “just want a taste”? Right, as if you wouldn’t read it all. People usually say that when on cocaine -“just a bit, I’ll be fine”. 🙂 Sorry, couldn’t help it…
9 July 2014 at 15:35 #28841@purorfilion Well, I’m willing to risk the possibility of not being able to stop reading, and that’s kind of my business. If I ever find the scripts I promise I will not share spoilers publicly, so that it will remain my business as well as the business of others who want me to pass on the information to them – but I will only do that directly and privately.
So does anyone have a link to PM or what?
9 July 2014 at 15:42 #28842Casualty or Dr Who?
10 July 2014 at 18:02 #2886310 July 2014 at 20:20 #28866re: the photos in post #28436
i knew i should have avoided this forum!! lol. my own curiosity got the better of me…
but i have to point out, for those who may have missed it, the cyberman “teardrop” is featured prominently in those pictures, on the memorial stones. (the red circle, with the tear-shape on the lower left.)
not clicking any of the links, i’m going now. i haven’t learned too much, so the upcoming season will still be immensely enjoyable!! i will add, though, that i am glad that kate and scarf-girl will be back…
🙂

14 July 2014 at 09:01 #28982I hesitated to post earlier as I was very tempted to make a less than polite comment upon posts now removed. Thanks to our wonderful mods for keeping this site troll free.
Thanks for putting up the pics @wolfweed. Nice to see the library migrating into the console room. I throughly approve of Dr Who encouraging a love of books.
Our new Doctor certainly has a dark moody expression there however in the pic of he and Clara he looks much more like “our Doctor’.
Cheers

Something potentially ruinous is being filmed right now. I don’t think I’ll share what it is. If you’re that determined, you’ll find it.
Here’s something else to compensate…

If this is true, then Capaldi is doing a 2nd series (remember Mark Gatiss is yet to write another story for him).
‘Head, shoulders. knees and toes, knees and toes…’19 July 2014 at 11:50 #29122Dr Who is about to shoot at St Paul’s. London…
19 July 2014 at 12:10 #29125Haven’t clicked on any links on this page, just reading various posts and seeing the pictures is enough for me. I just like a small taster of what to expect rather than reading a whole script.
It’s shame that some things can’t be left a secret until the day. Takes the fun out of the programme I think.
As for the rumour of the Master returning, I hope it’s a red herring. It’s about time we had a brand new baddie, something completely different and just as legendary.
19 July 2014 at 15:06 #29165It’s official but I’m scared so I’m posting here!
