Ooooh, lots of lovely juicy theories, thanks everyone.
@Lisa and others – Post-it notes
Well obviously Clara has stumbled into Steven Moffat’s workroom by mistake and is faced with massive spoilers of her own life, predestination paradoxes and a sneaky paranoia that she is being watched. And possibly controlled by an unseen presence! 😉

i just went back to investigate, and the hand on the picture frame is clara’s. as awkward as the angle is, it’s her right hand, and she’s pulling herself around the edge of the picture, as if she had been hiding just to the inside of it (to avoid the exploding dalek, i assume).
That’s unfortunate. I was hoping it was Missy, becau…[Read more]

@barnable – i can make most of that pregnancy theory work… BUT…
i think you’ve reached the pinnacle of bonkersising, if you really think the doctor and missy are going to have a child!!! think of what you’re saying, man! half the who fanbase lost their minds when missy was revealed to be the master regenerated… do you think moffat would…[Read more]

@DrBen, I forgot about the special dino Optic-nerve, good connection!
@Mudlark, I suppose the “window” behind Missy does look like the newer style Cyberman eyes. Perhaps she has been miniaturised into a cyberman (just like the Doctor in Into the Dalek)
@Ixion I noticed those numbers on the wall and also thought it was to show how the boneless…[Read more]

@Barnable @purofilion You know, I was never satisfied with the end of Name of the Doctor. Â Dickiebow finds Clara in his timestream, they see Grandpa, Dickiebow makes his little speech (“not in the name of the Doctor!”), credits. Â I spent the months leading up to the 50th Anniversary assuming that Day of the Doctor would be about 11 and Clara t…[Read more]

@purofilion In siege mode, air pressure is lost -eventually
To be even more @pedant -ic, I believe these two things are unconnected. Â My understanding was that the TARDIS went into siege mode because it was having its power drained by the Boneless, but at the same time, the loss of power caused the life support to fail (he says “life support…[Read more]

I’m not sure if this is where this post belongs, but I just wanted to say I really enjoy this forum. I stumbled upon it at the beginning of this season (series?) and it is great fun. finally a place where I can obsess over the Doctor in peace and quiet without having people trying to tie me down and shove me into a straitjacket. although one day…[Read more]

Missy is the seagull!!!
Kidding. Â After a couple weeks of work and travel, I’m finally caught up and can contribute again!
I loved this week’s episode. Â First off, I think the effects were some of the best I’ve ever seen on DW. Â The 3D creatures were completely believable and creepy, and the scene with Clara & Rigby in the hanging chair while th…[Read more]

@FatmaninaBox Love your idea that the equations are the calculations for moving Gallifrey in Day of the Doctor. (All the others have the sonic working on it in the background – 12 goes for the blackboard 🙂 )
@Barnable (are you back to Barnable, I get so confused!! 😉 ) That really was a note to myself, but kudos to you for ‘fessing up if you…[Read more]

@Barnable– last fall there was a story going around that Banksy was in New York City driving around in this big truck with these different art “installations” in them – he was also doing wall art around town – don’t know if it was just some story or for real but the guy in the truck said he was the artist!?

Re GUS : I was seeing him/it (assuming that he/it is an Artificial Intelligence or, alternatively, an entity ‘saved’ to a computer) more as a disembodied criminal master-mind – a kind of Blofeld of the far future, with monocle but minus the white cat – moving his chosen pieces round the metaphorical chess board. He does so in order to…[Read more]

“Another Brick In The Wall” is what I thought, also. It made sense in too many ways… Pink Floyd/Danny Pink, the song lyrics e.g. “we don’t need no education…”, British band/British show, and is too clever for it to be anything else. I , too, wondered if you would have to get permission, but I think you can use a few notes of a song without s…[Read more]

@Arbutus – thanks for posting Into the Mystic – any Van the Man is always welcome in my book! (Lovely version, and I particularly liked that the notes on youtube which said it’s apparently the preferred song for surgeons when they’re prepping – didn’t know that).

@Barnable  However, I don’t know how SM can possibly make a good story arc out of a dinosaur in lady form.   Did you mean this to be hilarious? I hope so, because it made me laugh big time! I mean, I suppose he could, if he had to, but I envisioned a dinosaur in Missy’s dress, and just lost it.

Well, we did it and survived, mostly. That climb that takes up the first minute of the video is probably the most difficult, and at times scary. My friend almost bottled out 50 metres up the cliff face because she…[Read more]

@barnable – no offence taken – I didn’t think you were being harsh! As for the questions after nearly ten years after the restart, and a certain familiarity with the adventures of 9,10 & 11 I keep remembering questions I’ve always wanted answering, and this forum is pretty much the first place I’ve found where you can seriously ask, or at least…[Read more]
