@Elouise – also known as the Ship of Theseus paradox.

However, the suggestion from Day of the Doctor is that the Sonic, like the Doctor, retains certain core software from update to update. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • @Elouise

It’s like a timey wimey version of “Trigger’s Broom”

  • @Elouise You are very welcome. I am looking very much forward to January the 1st. I only discovered it a few months ago. Lucky me – can’t imagine to wait for years ‘n years!

As you might have noticed some of the interactive videos are locked. They can be unlocked with a key-combination (or that’s what I heard, anyway) One kind soul uploaded all…[Read more]

haha – we’re nothing if not educational! btw I think leatherette may now be called pleather.

::scratches head – how the hell do I know this stuff??!::

Here’s another song from the amazing Ms Jones (I love the video for this, and the production is great)

And this, from about 30 years later!…[Read more]

    @Whisht @Elouiseย  @Timeloop

Sorry, but if you want the real hot, slimy sticky experience of leatherette there’s only 1 person to go to! (sorry, it cuts off a bit short)

(Live version.. oh my, I think I need to go and lie down for a bit now ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

  • Timeloop replied to the topic General Music thread

@Whisht @Elouise Lets just continue the ring tone discussion here, might be a bit confusing on the Day of the Doctor.

I usually stick to normal ring tones as well. Too embarrassing to be caught with something everybody knows in public. However I have been toying with the idea to switch to this…[Read more]

@Elouise – the telescope in the Observatory is pretty big.

Didn’t the First Doctor win eighteen elephants or something in a bet?

  • Whisht replied to the topic On The Sofa (3)

well @Elouise after Dinosaurs on a Spaceship and at least a window on a sun (if not a sun itself although some people think so) after Journey to the Centre of the Tardis, an elephant wouldn’t be that strange.

smaller in fact than a swimming pool!

(but no, you’re not mad, just bonkers like the rest of us!)

  • Whisht replied to the topic On The Sofa (3)

@Elouise – does this question arise from making you listen to Warm Leatherette?

If so, I’m sorry and will pay for the counselling fees.

  • Whisht replied to the topic General Music thread

    @Elouise – for this:

I actually listened through the whole thing, in the frail belief that something else would happenโ€ฆ
Never have I been so wrongโ€ฆ

    I want to hug you!!

I’m genuinely laughing and its been a while, so thank you!

Honestly – I know what you mean and yet you prefer it to Bells 2??
My god woman, you’re a rare thing!!

@Timeloop, @Elouise and in terms of an alarm ringtone, I use the default one on my phone. However, I went through extremes for a phone ringtone that would actually cut through my headphones. I thought this would work as its the most ‘annoying’ piece of music on my iTunes (other than the stuff i actually dislike) [the normal].But it kept ringing…[Read more]

  • Timeloop replied to the topic General Music thread

@Elouise I know the feeling. There was a time where I could sleep through 5 different alarms without noticing any of them.
For a while I could get up later than I usually needed to so I first wanted to keep my rhythm and set an alarm but then my bed was just too cozy… So I basically conditioned myself to ignore a very annoying sound for an hour…[Read more]

I almost envy you, going into the Fourth Doctors ere fresh. Lots to enjoy.

How could you object to a beard like that though? He looks like a cross between Santa and Gandalf, which is fitting really, because that’s how I viewed the Doctor as a child. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Devilishrobby replied to the topic The Day of the Doctor

@elouise if memory serves me wasn’t Capaldi beardless on the reveal show though thinking about it he may still have had a goatee. Oh by the way just seen the beebs Christmas line up advert montage with several interesting shots from the Xmas special, one had Clara introducing Matt smith’s doctor as her boyfriend to her family lol

  • PhaseShift replied to the topic The Day of the Doctor

@thommck @Elouise Just to add to the “Doctors with face fuzz” list, let’s not forget the Fourth when he was prematurely aged after mucking about with a tachyon generator in The Lesuire Hive.

  • thommck replied to the topic The Day of the Doctor

    Beard eh? Good thinking @MikeofMcr

@ScaryB, @elouise The Doctor has been bearded before, remember this
    Beardy Matt

And I’d now like to reveal the Capaldi Doctor’s costume ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Moff is responsible for giving me lots of headaches

    Me too.

But I strongly subscribe to the theory that he nipped into the TARDIS for a peek at @Bluesqueakpip‘s brilliant blog explaining it all – linked in post 22134 above.

@FiveFaces Good point. We should keep an eye out for that! Nice connection to Reichenbach as well.

@wolfweed Do you have a detailed, international analysis? Would love to get my hands on that. For example how many people per country, general reaction per country and so on.

@geoffers Yes, Clara and Bad Wolf are definitely part of it. But he might…[Read more]
