Was it Otters or Autons ? I saw mannequins in the abandoned building where the mechanical alien was[autons] but it also works as a River reference sort of —– that’s was a huge white ‘waiting room’ in the nethersphere and why that choice —– liked the River reference and hope we get more of her again in maybe a different regeneration although I really like Alex Kingston and I think she would have terrific chemistry with Peter Capaldi—- like how Danny gets under the Doctors skin —— no mention of the Doctors own history with the school —– the double of number 11 was a bit trippy —– wondering if that big chessboard is something typical in English school yards —- enjoyed this episode mainly because it has me wondering about what is up next more than ever and finally here is my new thought on the Belief concept I mentioned in the TH thread – just to recap- DB believe in the promised land RoS believe in myths and legends ItD dalek believes in good and evil
L believes that something exists in the dark TH believe that in the end everything will become clear and
tC believe people you know you can trust – not sure if its a major story arc but it has definitely been a theme

Interested in other bonkers theories about Belief and these episodes – I saw in the commercial for the next episode Caretaker that the Doctor tells Clara ”go to your assembly and worship something”

This episode reminded me of a Farscape episode where that group broke into a bank-like place to ‘heist’ Crichton- from the Shadow Depository -I got the exactly the same vibe as though the writer saw that same [3 part] episode and borrowed from it – – even the bank caretakers seemed to be the same personality types in both –
I liked the episode but its definitely needs more than 1 watching cause it moves so fast- it almost felt a bit squeezed in its allotted time

–cont —I mean with in the timey whimey scheme the young Doctor would have gotten the soldier first before Rupert – so how did it get from the Doctor to the box- its the exact same broken soldier and there is a lot of empty story hanging there

@thebrainofmoffat —  the toy soldier was taken out of a box that Clara found  to give to Rupert- so that’s the bit where I am confused

So the Doctor waits with the Tardis in Clara’s bedroom and then next scene is connecting her to the Tardis to pick her brain- I think he is still investigating Clara -that felt like a sub current in the story for me

w@cpgolpher –always felt that the way River said goodbye to the Doctor was to say they would see each other again and I am convinced she was Tasha Lem- plus if she could do that psychic connection trick once with Clara she can do something like it again- in any case I believe that the character is still in play — I would be absolutely ok with Missy being someone else- but as of now I will bet on River/Tasha/Melody

agree- definitely obsessed- time will tell if its a positive or negative –  not clear about that-  I think to be honest that there is a history cause she refers to him as boyfriend – it might turn out she is a totally new character and that’s fine – but maybe we haven’t seen the end of all the River story- I  just have a hunch that   her story   is potentially still in play

thanks for answering- 1 more thing I left out- Missy does seem a bit ”off’  – wondering if that might suggest the Dalek that was stuck inside Tasha Lem –   really glad Moffat created Missy- already 1 of my favs-

but I just had to share Really loving the Missy arc- been thinking on it- could she possibly be a  regeneration of River ? because death isn’t always the end in the who universe Rose was resurrected as bad wolf and the master got resurrected and Galifrey might come back- I think Tasha Lem was River – the name Tasha actually means resurrection and Lem is Mel backwards – {Melody}  so the name means resurrection of Mel– I can actually understand Missy referring to the Doctor as her boyfriend since only the River character was actually married to him and not the other incarnations- she seems to be collecting people that sacrifice themselves – all the River regenerations all made sacrifices for the Doctor – maybe she is collecting them to make a army for something she knows is coming – wherever this garden is she says its heaven – Tasha Lem was mother superious of the ‘Papel’ mainframe – River ended up ‘saved’ to a  computer but she was able to move out beyond it- all these have some kind of  religious connotation- I know this theory is a stretch- but I had to share it cause its been bugging me- sort of a lot – lol – anyway thanks cause I needed to get it out
