The scammers are active again. This time it’s Monica Williams calling me dear and that’s a definite warning. Can anyone deal with this piece of filth?

27 April 2022 at 15:53 #73066I have doubts that even RTD can save the show not that I’ve watched it since 2017 although I finished a run of fifty episodes recently from the Classic Pertwee series 7 & 8! RTD did some great endings to series I’ll admit but his early episodes weren’t too good and for some unknown reason had to add a comment or scene about gay people!!! Yet I liked his David Tennant final stories with the Time Lords sitting in the ruins of the Capitol and plotting harsh reprisals against not only the Daleks but also against the Earth as well just in order for them to survive as spirit forms! Let’s hope he can equal this style and at least vanquish the last five years by saying it was a crossover with another reality that he had become immersed in…

8 April 2021 at 09:16 #71549As someone who gave up watching the show three years ago I think this timeless child thing is a load of bunk ‘written’ by a second rate hack that makes even Moffat seem better than he was! This has been done purely for the woke minded and to cause trouble with Who fans, which it has done! I only found out about it because my son watches it and even he wasn’t impressed! Capaldi’s era and the genderbending Time Lords turned me right off of my once favourite show! I stopped collecting the DVDs after Smith left and I wasn’t happy with his era, liked him just not his stories. Capaldi’s time was purile and a chore to get through and I was looking forward to a new team and actor. Kris Marshall who was hinted at gave me a Davison vibe and I could see him in his cricket gear again but when the news broke of Jerdeh replacing Capaldi I knew it was time to go! Tom Baker’s one time joke became the basis of the show to follow and I decided to switch off and do something more entertaining!

3 December 2020 at 16:32 #71217Dalek novelisation? Really? Where is it? It’s been months since the statement and still nuthin!

3 December 2020 at 10:21 #71216The episode was enjoyable and weird to think it was SO long ago now!!! But the problem i have with it, is that it was two different stories going on at the same time! Daleks and Time Lords fighting over Gallifrey in the final days of the Time War and the Zygons who were using Gallifreyan technology to invade the earth! When I first heard of the Zygons coming back I assumed it would be like the War Games cameos or along those lines with the main focus being on the Daleks and the Time Lords own conflict! Strange that it took fifty years to feature them prominently in an anniversary story and even here they are not really the main adversary!!!

3 December 2020 at 10:11 #71215This episode is one that I liked! Shades of Brain of Morbius!!! The little white boxes from War Games return here and the possibility of returning Time Lords was awesome. So much so that you don’t feel too disappointed at the end when it turns out to be a false catch! The scenes in the TARDIS corridors were good and very reminiscent of the old Hartnell episodes and even the odd Tom Baker or two!

3 December 2020 at 10:04 #71214This has to be the worst episode ever outside of the two years of hell that is Mrs.Who! How can you expect your audience to enjoy this s**t when Adolf Hitler, possibly the most infamous man in the history of the world (recent times anyway) is treated like a drip at a school desk and locked up in a cupboard? This is the type of character that you use to the fullest potential and use as a possible alien entity or a man possessed by a spirit or some other kind of evil force not just use his world as a place to set your story and ignore!!!!

3 December 2020 at 09:52 #71213I’ve always seen these two episodes as RTDs take on Logopolis/Castrovalva to be honest! A new Master, a Doctor that changes at the end of the story and becomes something supposedly greater in the next episode and the Master tries to humiliate and ridicule the Doctor before destroying him utterly!

3 December 2020 at 09:47 #71212Utopia and Dalek have to be my favourite episodes of New Who I have to say! The Master returning here was leaked a few weeks earlier to me as some idiot I used to know told me that John Simm was the new Master, which I thought was weird considering I’d heard that Derek Jacobi was the Master but I hadn’t forgotten about regeneration at all and the night my newly born daughter came home to us always stands out in my thoughts!
JB
3 December 2020 at 08:22 #71211The Doctor starts to regenerate at the conclusion of episode three but you only know that once you see him change in part four! Before that I thought it was the ship going to warp drive and it showing up on the screen!

3 December 2020 at 08:20 #71210A very overrated story with too much zoom music and a plot taken from many old Robert Holmes stories! Earthshock was Davison’s best story by a mile!
JB
3 December 2020 at 08:17 #71209Davison’s best story! Forget the Androzani mess…

3 December 2020 at 08:14 #71208Patrick Troughton was one of the best Doctors Who ever!

3 December 2020 at 08:11 #71207Cybermen as they should be, unlike the versions they put out a few years back! I don’t watch the show any more so no idea about any new ones!

3 December 2020 at 07:55 #71204The Deadly Assassin is my favourite Master story and I love the flashes of hatred and even from the Doctor himself, animosity to his rotting cadaver of a once friend!

3 December 2020 at 07:45 #71203Andrew Carr is Alec Wallis surely? They look alike and sound alike, change of name perhaps?
JB
3 December 2020 at 07:42 #71202On the first pressings of this disc we get a blank spot for like five seconds but later editions have corrected this! Typical as I bought my copy on the day but never knew about it for quite a few years!
