@jphamlore @blenkinsopthebrave
Great ideas! I’m inclined to think of Clara being a hybrid with some Zygon
in her and that she has been picking up lots of little bits of hybrid-ish
features going back to SmithDoc starting with the time stream and then the
hacking talents and so on. So my question now is what all these…[Read more] -

Oops
I should of realised this
Obviously, my brain tumour and it’s subsequent removal are still having some consequences.
One last daft thought:
truth and consequenes = T&C = terms and conditions.
The original song, I believe was written by an ex-captain of a slave ship.

Alternatively, Inverness villages and the Fox Inn are packed with Zygon milkmaids
There’s an image I’m never getting out of my head.
I’m inclined to think @jphamlore is right that this particular story has something of a responsibility to ‘get it right’ in the second part. There was definitely a case to be made with Kill The Moon…[Read more]

I like @jphamlore‘s notion that it was the death of the Osgood “sister” that triggered the problems with the Zygons. This would also support the idea that it was Zygon Osgood that died. It seems likely that Zygons can recognize other Zygons more readily than humans can. I also like the idea that the surviving Osgood might have gone “undercover”…[Read more]

Is Jac a zygon? To be honest, I have no idea! On the first viewing I assumed she was human and Clara was possibly an evil zygon, on the second viewing I still assumed Jac was human, but Clara might be a pro-treaty zygon. By the third viewing, and in light of the arguments of @jphamlore and others, I began to wonder if everyone was a…[Read more]

the only way to preserve the political message is to have what appear to be incompetent elites actually be competent. The adult Zygon leaders claimed they had a plan to control the situation. I am assuming they do.
Yes, I had forgotten your earlier post saying that. Excellent point.

@soundworld life on earth was seeded, and continues to be, by genetic material carried through space, virii and so on. What manner of hybrids might we already be, unknowingly?
I think that’s an excellent question! And it raises one of my ingrained objections to concepts of “purity”, in the name of which so many great crimes have been c…[Read more]

Now imagine this alternative scenario: Kate Stewart’s Zygon counterpart contacts her about trouble between the Zygon generations. Osgood allows herself to be brainwashed with whatever Kate Stewart wants the younger Zygons to learn and pretends to go off reservation to Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. And what was Clara doing whil…

I relish the more subtle and multi-layered episodes which have featured under Moffat’s aegis but, as must have been apparent from my brief post yesterday evening, I thoroughly enjoyed the change of pace and mood in this, and disbelief did not need to be suspended; it was nowhere to be seen (maybe slipped out for a pint at the local). I did wonder…[Read more]

Thanks for the link! @bendubz11 Its always encouraging when others are having similar thoughts.
@countscarlioni It was delightful to see Osgood, and I really like how she played it as there being no difference, it didn’t matter which she was as she and her sister were true twin-hybrids. And that conversation – question mark u…[Read more]

@jphamlore But above all the episode is about what is just, what is fair, what is balanced. In the end Ashildr decides her role is to try and be some sort of balance in the lives of those who survive the visitation of a demigod the Doctor.

@drben Yes, not sure if it means she is Clara’s mother or she is making a point that she is in control of Clara’s mother.
The face being different with Ellie/Clara’s mother that the Doctor saw could easily be manipulated by technology. Her voice sounded more like a speaker when she faked a man’s voice as the Knightmare. Not saying she use…[Read more]

@SirClockFace There certainly has been enough references to believing your surroundings and activities are real, when in fact they are not, take ‘Last Christmas’ for example. So what you are saying is very possible.

@Jphamlore Good points about the shared point of view between Missy and Ashildr.
@ichabod I had not noticed Sam Swift and the hangman at the end. I agree, though, that it is a rather charming notion. Sam clearly doesn’t hold anything against a guy just “doing his job”! And I guess the hangman’s view is, if God (as I would imagine him to…[Read more]

@jphamlore I think that Missy and Ashildr’s plan is to put Clara into hell, the Nethersphere, and dare the Doctor to try and get her back, possibly at the cost of his life.
@sirclockface We never see Clara leave the dalek in S9E2 but we see Capaldi say “I’m sorry” exactly like how Tennant would say it before someone would die. We see her at th…[Read more]

@winston After a while you think that the pain is not worth it and you decide “no more pets” I think this is how the Doctor and Me and all immortals must feel once in awhile. Shoud they take the risk and enjoy their companions lives ,however fleeting ,or give up and go it alone.

How fortunate for the Doctor that Ashildr did not decide to accelerate the rate of human progress to get off this rock.
Or, maybe she did accelerate it and that’s why we are where we are now! 😉
