@Spider, I’m pretty sure that was created especially for the teaser, rather than intended to be part of an episode. I could be wrong, of course.
So my favorite bonkers theory is one that was alluded to briefly by @nerys and others many pages ago. The tangerine is not only a sign that Santa is real, but that Santa in fact saved the day. To wi…[Read more]

@spider! Bad dog-spider! There’s nothing there so stop barking! (Nips round to YouTube to check if there is actually something lurking there in the shadows…)

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone had a happy time yesterday. Just got the Christmas special watched and read all your brilliant comments. I really enjoyed this and can’t wait for a chance to watch it again. It left me feeling altogether happy.
I loved what @Bluesqueakpip, @Miapatrick, and @pedant had to say about how the Doctor sees people. When…[Read more]

@Spider – yes, I think they were just reusing the set.
Probable sequence of events: the Doctor lies successfully to Clara, goes off in gloom, decides he’s going to go and sit and sulk. The best place for sulking will be the volcano he based the dream on, because then he can sit and think how Clara betrayed him and, you know, really sulk. Because…[Read more]

oops meant @spider [are you sure you want to give an army to me? I have some strange notions about stuff]

@Spider LOL ! I must humbly not accept your magnanimous offer as the cost of storing such an army
at the local public storage center would be too expensive for my budget ! But I do appreciate your
kind gesture and thanks 🙂
[Btw – I am familiar with Blakes 7 and who the character Avon was but only in a sort of marginal way] -

@Spider Regarding the quote — I want to guess that it was a comedian – or maybe a politician [or is that
the same thing these days] ?? -

Hello @Barnable @pedant @BESD1 @blenkinsopthebrave @spider
I think it was all a con about the-dead-feeling-cremation, just to get them to press the delete button and erase their feelings, so Danny (or others) wouldn’t ruin Missy’s plans
I agree with @pedant, we cannot trust anything Seb or Chang said. On a philosophical note … why was it so i…[Read more]

@BESD1 I loved your comments. You made a lot of good points. I particularly liked what you had to say about Danny, although personally I thought he acted the pants off it. But I think that what I really missed was a sense of closure between him and the Doctor. The Doctor seemed to have come to some kind of understanding and appreciation of “P…[Read more]

@Spider My take on the heat sensor problem (other than that UNIT probably had access to gadgetry more highly advanced than the rest of humanity) was this. According to what we were told, the ‘pollen’ which rained down on the graveyards, penetrating the earth and locking on to the organic remains in the graves, consisted of nanobots. These…[Read more]

@DrBen Not least of which because I thought the voice sounded like Russell T. Davies, and had a moment’s (bonkers) thought that they were going full meta, and RTD would burst through the doors of the TARDIS, bitching about what a sad mess Moffat has made of his show.
That would have been brilliant! Not because I don’t like Moffat’s work, bu…[Read more]

@Spider “you can’t do heat scans under the earth”
I’m not all that scientific, so I may be flawed in my reasoning but my thinking is this: Once the corpses have been cyber-pollenated, the organic material would regain some semblance of heat, thus making it possible to detect via infrared (or something like that)
On a different note, a friend and…[Read more]

Gallifrey. He’s been back this series but he doesn’t know it. If Clara fesses up to having been back there… Can she get a substitute (un-wardamaged) Danny back through Orson somehow? Still don’t know why Orson had a TARDIS spacesuit).
@Spider It was obviously some highly advanced tech developed by UNIT that can heat scan underground. Top…[Read more]

Hello @Miapatrick
Moffet played it really fair.
Oh no he didn’t! I can forgive him character and series arcs I don’t like. (not many) But I will never forgive him pissing on the spoilerphobe fans by inserting the Christmas preview in the middle of the closing credits. I could just imagine the evil cackling he was doing when he agreed tha…[Read more]
