@arkleseizure That’s a lovely double tribute. And I’m right there with you on Massacre (tho Marco Polo gives it a v close run). I’m keeping fingers and toes x’d that they didn’t check right to the back of those Nigerian shelves yet! (or they found a pile of as yet unID’d tapes which are still in a box to be gone through)
@Phaseshift Re the…[Read more]

@Craig You’re right about closing last time was because of the rogue DVDs. But it did make the site feel safer in the final week. I think the week before would be fine, but whatever everyone else thinks.
@Arkleseizure – you’ve regenerated 🙂

@Wolfweed I forgot about those! I think if it’s a TV show with millions of viewers then it’s basically public knowledge.
I love the hive mind. @Whisht @Arkleseizure @ScaryB Brilliant idea. Trailers thread is great and one I’ll keep for the future, but I’d like to keep the thread number down if possible and discussion of the trailer would seem to…[Read more]

This is why I posit some impenetrable valley in South America where a small group survived
Something tells me you might enjoy this: The Country of the Blind, by HG Wells (as might everyone else)

The marsupial human is an interesting idea, and I think it may be one that could actually feature in the new series of books written by Terry Pratchett and Stephen Baxter, The Long Earth series. […]

Marsupial humans – very intriguing idea; certainly beats the 9 months inside and big head/birth design concept 😈
The silicon based monster episode was the first Star Trek […]

@Arkleseizure – The trailer airs at 20.20 GMT – is that some sort of meta-pun by the BBC? You will have 20:20 vision & still not see TDOTD trailer!

@Hudsey. You certainly know how to get a welcome to this forum. Come up with a bonkers theory. Well done. I do like the idea that the J.H. Doctor might be pre Hartnell. You pointed to some good reasons for The Day of the Doctor not to feature the time war. I think it is now generally assumed that it will but we all know that Moffat likes to…[Read more]

Great pic. I met Michael Kilgarriff at a fan event when I was younger. I was about 6 ft at 15 and he towered over me. Lovely bloke though – very self deprecating. Did you see the footage of the Tomb Cybermen event at the BFI? He was a guest.
the appalling Attack of the Cybermen. I’m still convinced that didn’t really happen

@Arkleseizure and @BlenkinsoptheBrave
The thing about Day of the Daleks that excites me is that there’s this centuries long time loop in it. Namely, the one in which the rebels cause everything to happen.
The time loop then collapses when the Doctor manages to change a small detail.
Anyway, it would be fun if we discover that the AG Who has…[Read more]

Now that is an excellent theory. Definitely agree that “Day of the Daleks” is being alluded to. Whatever happens, I am certain it will relate back to BG Who in some important respect.

The Independent and the Northern Echo both posted the details on their web sites tonight (before pulling them) which agreed with what Lance Parkin said he’d been told. That part of the mystery seems to have been resolved, but ……
Cheers

@JimtheFish @Arkleseizure @BlenkinsoptheBrave and everyone (and thanks to @Shazzbot for reposting my earlier post – dunno why it wouldn’t let me post 🙁 Let you know if it happens again)
I’m assuming since Jamie and Victoria were involved then some Troughton is very likely. ANY episodes from that period would be just brilliant.

Any ideas for Troughton?
I think @arkleseizure msuggested The Mind Robber (at 5 eps) and I suggested Tomb of the Cybermen (at 4 eps, although for people with access to the Watch TV channel, that story will be featured in the UK showing of The Doctors Revisited). If you don’t fancy B&W, he does feature in The Three Doctors (10th anniversary 4…[Read more]

We’ve had these of course…
