@Barnable liked the Danny analysis @Apopheniac yours too – [I haven’t spent much time thinking about Danny]

@Geoffers thanks for fixing me ! šŸ™‚ šŸ™‚ I will particularly watch out for that !

    Hello @Barnable

Just never bring up Justin Bieber again, please?!Ā  šŸ˜‰

Now, I’ve made my morning break last a half hour so lunch will be similarly curtailed – must off back to the trenches.Ā  See youse later.

    Hello @Barnable

I’m glad you went through each of those Danny Pink ‘issues’ in detail.Ā  Fwiw, I had no problem with Danny’s character at all.

1.Ā  The first thing we learn about him is how all the other females at school are drooling over him, so why shouldn’t Clara, too?

2.Ā  Far from controlling, I thought Danny was bending over backwards to ac…[Read more]

@Barnable re the Doctor’s cracks on the Universe

    I know. <sigh> Ā It’s just the first time I felt like a crackee. Ā :p

  • lisa replied to the topic Death in Heaven

@ Arbutus – The Doctor spent a extraordinarily small amount of time when he opened the Tardis doors
expecting some evidence of Galifrey. I still think those numbers ‘might’ mean something but he really
didn’t do a thorough check. If he had would he have discovered a ‘crack’ in the neighborhood or
    something else?

@Barnable I’m pretty sure it was Missy that tipped UNIT off.Ā  We heard her go through a series of accents in the episode, including a Scottish one when she was telling Osgood that she was going to kill her.Ā  I think Missy was cluing Osgood in at that point that she had called UNIT and they had fallen into a trap.

@barnable Actually, it sounds like you just disagree that the physics of S8 is wonky. Yes, I’ve seen opinions differ on that.

I do count governess-Claricle because while her death was due to her being a Claricle in one sense (ontological) it was also a point of evidence for the pattern of travel invitations prefiguring a violent, sudden death…[Read more]

@barnable. I am no doubt nit picking but it is unlikely that Clara would have inherited Danny’s estate, what there was of it. I assume that as a solider Danny would have been obliged to make out a will so unless he rewrote his will in the time that he knew Clara which I doubt as death would not have been on his mind then she would not inherit. As…[Read more]

@Whisht Thanks for the Cash link “Man Comes Around” Ā That’s as devastating to listen to as Lou Reed’s “Hello It’s Me” which you posted earlier! 😄 (A great selection in fact)

@macphisto96 Yes, I know that. As I said I understand the reasons but I am still reminded of what’s missing when I see 11. That’s not to say I don’t like 12. They shouldn’t be compared. And to burden oneself without complaint is really not something only british people do.

They hadĀ to bring something in at the end to shine just a glimmer of hope. Even evil Moffat, who KILLED OSGOOD (the audience avatar as @ABXY pointed out!) and is making us wait for WEEKS, couldn’t leave Clara and the Doctor as such broken souls. Would have been just too bleak to bear. (And I love that it was Santa not Father Christmas. Would have…[Read more]

@BarnableĀ Ā Ā  The Doctor is re-coding DNA into Computer Code on the chalkboards.Ā Ā  This is a very cool idea!

    Hello @Mudlark

even if it were possible to miniaturise someone to the extent that they could be inserted into a computer hard drive, all they would be able to perceive would be the hardware; they would not be able to read or make use of the information stored on it. The miniature people exploring the interior of the Dalek were in the Dalek…

You argue that theĀ Heaven/afterlife inĀ which HFM, Gretchen, theĀ PC and Danny find themselvesĀ might be real because

We have seen Missy, Seb and PCSO all in the same place at the same time

Ah yes, the Master’s Tissue Compressors – you are right.

they could have used miniaturisation at the scene of the accident, followed by a clone corpse

    Hello @demafromua

Interesting thoughts about self-sacrifice and suicide, and The Master.Ā  Even more interesting when it is put in context of what the original theories were about HFM and Gretchen, and how/why they were scooped up by Missy: Ā  Because they sacrificed themselves for the sake of The Doctor.

I was just trying to think of what would happen if the baby was born in the Nethersphere.

I think the Doctor and Clara are real and alive since they arrived in the Nethersphere using the TARDIS. So if Clara is alive with her real body, then the baby should be real with a real body too.
