SPOILER, SPOILER, SPOILER...

@Lisa our “local” pub has a cafe area and not too long ago I observed a young couple, maybe on their first date, sitting at the front bar, deep in conversation and sharing a pot of tea. Now that is something you would not have seen even ten years ago. Pubs have to be so much more than watering holes these days though unfortunately in this part of…[Read more]

Yes, we have those pumpkin patch things as well. I remember my son having a great time when he was small, and I remember being equally relieved when he was old enough not to want to go anymore! They were always awfully mucky in this part of the world.

Rose, green tea with mint, like the Moroccans drink it, is a favo…[Read more]

Like @Arbutus I have been busy or rather distracted by “other life”. Often think it would be easier to be re-doing yr 12 myself than having sons doing it. Still only about ten weeks to go. A lot of deadlines in that time however..

All this talk of food reminds me that with only 40 days till the next series airs  I had better start planning our…[Read more]

They Live has to be one of the most fabulous films ever. Thanks@lisa for the Salon article. If I had my way, I would insist every American watch the movie before voting (that is, the ones who can still vote in light of the campaign to inhibit universal suffrage).

Ah @lisa I missed that sad bit of news. Great article. Many thanks.

Seems as good a reason as any to repost this. In memoriam!

@lisa  Thanks!  Straight onto my fb page.  Acid for PKD, but most probably not for Ursula — though you never know, do you?

@lisa

If there was, it was probably acid….

I am losing the ability to keep track of this discussion, there are so many different threads in it! I am almost certainly not tagging everyone I ought to, so apologies in advance.

@proxy said: Even without a gender-swap regeneration, we’ve seen fairly severe personality changes. I much prefer Jenny’s attitude. When Clara asked her what if the…[Read more]

@Proxy  I admire you adventurousness with tenses!  When I talked about training for Clara, I didn’t mean an informal apprenticeship (traveling with the Doctor), but going through the formal training that the Doctor and the Master did at the Academy on Gallifrey — which is no longer accessible (?) since the Doctor wouldn’t know where to send h…[Read more]

@lisa

Wonderful interview. I’m a great admirer of Peter Capaldi, but after this, an even great one.

Thank you.

Love it! Take a day off to do that thing called “work,” and look what is waiting for me!

Just to be clear — this is all speculation (the home page does say that this is the place for it) and I realize that the writers, etc., can and will do whatever they like.  But to…[Read more]

And thanks to everyone who’s been keeping the news entries up to date… ish 😉

Particular shoutouts to @FatManinaBox (mostly because of the FABULOUS new horticultural look to your box), @Phaseshift and @Lisa

And… @Craig – a new trailer to discuss did you say? Wooohooo!

😀

@Purofilion and @SuzanneMS

It’s unlikely that the Master was ever a Missy before, because the Doctor is completely stunned by it – errr… later. I don’t know how far you’ve got in the box set watching.

There was quite a lot of discussion when Capaldi was cast on how they were going to deal with the Caecelius/Frobisher thing. They dealt…[Read more]

@lisa   Wonderful!  Thanks for that link.
