Whisht replied to the topic Part 3 – Once, Upon Time
Hi all – so “Bel’s Story”.
To be honest I found her story quite dull (I’m assuming Bel is the character with the Northern Irish accent).
She crosses space to reach her lover and… well we see them ‘together’ but I’m not sure I’m invested enough.
I don’t think I care enough about her or Vinder and that’s not a great place to be (maybe its…[Read more] -

Hey @craig – that list of songs from 1971 is really interesting. Lot of Latin love in there as well as the usual rock and pop… and Benny Hill ;¬D
Number 1 when I was born was apparently this little choon.
Not a bad one tbh -

For War with the Sontarans, here’s a song I haven’t heard in many years:
Tragedy Rocks – The Crimea“It was magnifico while it lasted,
it was kooky as kooky could be,
but every time look what happened,
darkness broke free” -

Hi all – so managed to watch and catch up.
Not sure what to add.
The Flux – was it released to capture Swarm or released by Swarm for nefarious ends..?
Or just a ‘natural’ event he’s using (as Sontarans did)? Its silly, but when I heard the character named “Passenger” my mind weirdly thought of Ghost Light. Basically without knowing remembering…[Read more]

Hi again all, hope you’re well.
Here’s a track for the Halloween Apocalypse.
Rather than some of the harsher stuff that came up around some of the themes, I thought I’d start off this season with something a bit more gentle, perhaps even pastoral. -

Hi all – hope you’re all well.
You’ve said much of what I was thinking, but said it far more cogently.
You’ve also said things that I didn’t think but which gives me a lot to consider!I’m guessing that someone has already mentioned a feeling of Doctor Who: Endgame from this.
Something about people disintegrating into dust in a seemingly…[Read more] -

@cathannabel I am so so sorry for your loss.
I can’t add any appropriate quotes nor music.
But all I can say is that I hope you realise that there are far more people than reply who are feeling for you right now.Sometimes posts are read.
Sometimes plans are made to answer.
Sometimes plans don’t actually happen. But the feeling, the true honest…[Read more]

Merry Xmas everyone!
I wanted to find a song that somehow encapsulated the feelings of people estranged from loved ones.
But that was a bit hard.
So I opened my music player and searched for “love”.
Which brought me this lovely song by Bjork, a song that suggests (although it may feel different) Love is all around, although maybe not from the…[Read more] -

hi all,
just wanted to post something here which:
– wasn’t because anyone died… erm that was it.
When the Doctor returns, I’m sure she’ll inspire better and more relevant music

Just read the same article about Dan Martin.
So sad for him to die so young. My heart goes out to his loved ones, as well as those his passion and enthusiasm touched.

Peter Green is someone who I don’t know enough about.
Realising that there are a multitude of artists who held him in high regard, it just makes me realise I have to visit his work.
BB King said generous things about his tone which is kinda incredible and though I don’t know what BB King was responding to, here is Peter Green…[Read more]

So Happy 4th of July.
I watched the Wattstax doc recently and so am on a bit of a funk thang.
This is just fun (and I seem to recognise lines and samples from it maybe)
simply enjoy!

Hi @blenkinsopthebrave – yes I believe I did but it was a while ago.
Did I not already mention them and Picard and thank you for the advice??
Blimey – I’m bad if not.
Now then, I’d have to dig out my notes about the episodes though (and with all the pre-moving malarky I might’ve ermmm… ‘cleaned them up’):¬o

So, been watching Devs (an Alex Garland TV series).
Kinda ‘cold’ in a way, but also austere/ beautiful/ elegant.
Maybe elegant is what he was aiming at.
No spoilers from me, but overall I enjoyed it – not “oh my gawd you must watch this!” but still, glad I saw it.But here’s a couple of tracks from it/ that made me think ‘ooh, is…[Read more]

I am so sorry for your loss.
What you recognised in Moffat’s words (a line I hadn’t remembered) are spot on.Please take care – you know far more than I will ever know about loss.
My brother (always far wiser than I) warned me about the waves after losing someone.I’ll never forget that forewarning, nor be able to thank him enough.
Take care.

@thane16
That is an awesome live track by Kraftwerk.
So rhythmic, dancey, pulsating yet controlled.
And with all that, its not a cold, robotic sound – there’s a ton of warmth in it.wow.
and I’ve never heard of or any Hugh Le Caine.
And yes its obvious that the sounds are similar (especially in this track). But I love how Kraftwerk brought a……[Read more] - Load More
