Further details on the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Collection DVD and Blu-ray have been revealed. The limited edition box set is out early September.

Exclusive BFI DVD and Blu-ray releases will include the long-awaited 7-disc DVD box set of BBC TV series Out of the Unknown (1965-1971), and the DVD premiere of Nigel Kneale’s 1954 adaptation of George Orwell’s classic Nineteen Eighty-Four, starring the great Peter Cushing.
August sees the first ever release of two celebrated BBC series: The Changes (1973), the unsettling 10-part series, based on Peter Dickinson’s best-selling trilogy.

This story turns out to be the first pure historical since ‘The Highlanders’. It also turns out to be the last ever pure historical (so far).
There are no aliens. There’s not even a villain as such. It was quite a curve-ball at the time – it would be now.
But it all goes pear-shaped with the Dr’s ‘get out of jail card’. ‘I’m a Time Lord.’ It’s a big storytelling no-no.
Why did it take another 4 regenerations to think up the psychic paper?

‘Strike me pink!’ Immediately after this shocked exclamation, Cummings takes the TARDIS’ secret pretty well. Is it due to the perception filter kicking in?

I actually love the downbeat nature of the ending. As @scaryb says, Poor George.

This is the one time that this Doctor’s costume fits in with his environment. It’s soon exchanged for a fetching paisley dressing gown though.

Hopefully , ‘Dancing’, is not a euphemism in this story. Adric’s not up to it, Tegan likes an older bloke, the look-a-likes’ ‘who is who’ thing has a whiff of wife swapping about it (as Robert Muir says: ‘It’s a little naughty, really.’).
All in all, a positively ripping episode!
It’s the experimental episode! Only this time it’s a companion-lite ep, not the Doctor-lite one.
The Doctor would rather talk to actual real people than watch Betty Boop! What a weirdo.

The concept of having your voice ‘stolen’ is incredibly disturbing.
It’s all about the paranoia – reminds me of The Edge of Destruction. Imagine Sky running ’round the bus with scissors like Susan! (There’s a thought)
Shows the idealism of the Doctor is very dangerous – He’d like to bring Sky back to The Leisure Palace…

Seeing the Doctor so vulnerable is gut-wrenchingly good!
Once again in a RTD script, the Dr is not the saviour of the day – (This time it’s the Dr’s catchphrases!)
