    @Shazzbot Given the running ‘Still not ginger!’ gag, the Doctor really wants to be ginger. In fact, if you believe the novelisation of ‘Battlefield’, not only will a future Dr be ginger, he’ll also wear an Afghan coat and be Merlin in another dimension…

    Ed Sheeran has been the ambassador for strawberry blondes since Catherine Tate & Rupert Grint retired. So much so that us Brits now tolerate these ‘carrot tops’ being in our country. As you say, the flame-haired are very big in America. We Brits must have something to be bigoted about, though…

    @miss.DeLarge  Don’t worry – The caretakers of Dr Who have promised a simple ‘maguffin’ will be invented to get us past that particular hurdle. Also, the Master was offered a whole new regeneration cycle in 1983’s ‘The Five Doctors’, so we know it’s possible…

    Having had a look at them, I don’t think any of the bookies favourites have a hope in hell of becoming the next Dr. You’re probably better just throwing some cash down a drain. David Beckham has just retired from football though, so…

    Although I probably don’t think that  Idris Elba is right for the role, I did love him in Thor.

    What I want to know is – Is there a helpline? You get them when boy bands (& girl bands) split up. I’m not exactly suicidal but I am a bit upset. And I’d feel a bit silly phoning the Samaritans about this…

    @Shazzbot – IMO 24 Hr rolling news should not be consumed for more than 10 minutes @ a time.

    It is sort of a platform for Celebrity Murderers now, but  then again music & entertainment talent shows are becoming a bit old hat nowadays. Killing people is certainly a talent of sorts.

    In a bizarre way it’s somehow reassuring to see our dystopian futures come true…..

    I’ve still to see a real Jamaican Cyberman yet, though.

    @craig – Nice to know that our media is breeding more mass-murderers.

    There’s nothing quite like 24 hour rolling news. When disaster strikes, all other stories go out of the window in a desperate scrabble for a shred of new  barely-related morsels. This sometimes creates the sort cringeworthy TV that Ricky Gervais would be proud to have plotted. Indeed he played a journalist on the 11 o clock show.

    It also reminds me of Brasseye & The Day Today. Media hype…

    @Shazzbot – If others are keen I expect some of these Clara pix will be  in the Crazy Captions blog one day.

    I’m just sharing a few of them as I’ve been making a load this week & by definition they relate to TNOTD.

    Also, if others can photomanipulate Clara into pre 7b scenarios (or whatever), I’d love to see what they do. I’m not claiming that territory – I’m just doing it because no else seems to be yet.

     

    There will be 2 new (pre-planned) Crazy Captions  tomorrow to ease the pain of a Saturday with no new Who.

    In the last couple of weeks I’ve gathered hundreds of images for future Crazy Captions and for other future blog posts. I don’t want to rush myself into my Total Universal Domination, though!
