    what idea was attacked ? I’ve looked back over the posts and its not obvious to me (sorry).

    I hadn’t appreciated everything in the transcript when I watched the episode way back when, but this surely kills off any idea that Hurt Doctor can be anything but the Doctor who ended the Time War surely?

    Thanks for a timely reminder.

    As Elwood P Dowd said in Harvey “An element of conflict in any discussion is a very good thing. It shows everybody’s taking part and nobody’s left out. I like that.”

    I don’t necessarily expect agreement with my pov, as it’s just that: my pov. I’m all for seeding a good plot point early on – there’s nothing like rewatching an old ep…[Read more]

    @Timeloop In Mexico only one cinema chain will be screening it, but it will be available in a number of cities and in Mexico City is almost sold out and they’ve had to open new screenings. I’m not sure how that translates into actual numbers, but for a show that you would think is almost unknown in Mexico, I think it’s pretty impressive. Sales are…[Read more]

    Watched fan fic trailer on phone, so not the best.

    Re: “The Moment” I like it as a name and a notion but I don’t think it will be used, mainly as I don’t think it has enough currency in the current show. I had completely forgotten about it until you mentioned it again and – I presume here – so will most of the fanbase.

    Then again, I…[Read more]

    @OsakaHatter Suitably bonkers! However, I think that your theory would require the participation of Eccleston, to return at end of episode to replace Hurt. Come to think of it…Jenna Coleman was kept under wraps before Asylum, so who knows?

    @Timeloop.

    Somehow, I think it is related back to the 11th’s earlier loss of memory regarding the GI (at Clara’s grave at the end of The Snowmen). Now that we know that the GI entered the Doctor’s timestream to turn his victories into defeats, that loss of memory could be an example of the effect the GI had while in his timestream. There also has…[Read more]

    When I said “no Matt” I really meant “not enough Matt”.

    Fair enough though as I may have missed a few things as I was watching on a phone and way past my bedtime.

    That’s really very nice for fan-fic.

    Lots of Doc9 in there though and no Matt.

    I don’t have any figures yet for Aus booking numbers but it is being shown here at Village Cinemas. Only in 3D.
    Prices are $25 (about GBP17) for an adult and $20 (about GBP13) for children. Plus a $1 surcharge per ticket if you book online, which I consider thievery.

    Re TARDIS set tour – I managed to prise off a tiny bit of info about who’s been in filming recently. It may be known already and I missed it, but it may be very slightly spoilery so I’m not posting it on here.…[Read more]

    @Timeloop You are so right about the age range of people at the Experience, it’s really lovely. There’s not much else on TV that  works across generations in quite the same way.  And the exhibits are very high quality, glad your friend was impressed. Everyone should have a little TARDIS! 🙂

    The trailer could certainly be used instead of the opening titles (at about 40 seconds  – if you remove the Matt Smith and end titles – is it long enough though). My guess is that it (and others probably – perhaps a new one for the Christmas show) will be shown in the Cinemas prior to 50th episode in nice 3D and…[Read more]

    @Timeloop It did go into spam but I’ve removed it and it is now live.

    No idea why as there aren’t many links in it.

    As you could post here you’re not marked as a spammer. But let me know if you have any other problems.

    @blenkinsopthebrave –

    In a way, such a resolution would tie into my 4th wall theory. As the show (and the Doctor) goes forward, it is in a unverse where the previous Doctors never existed, but one where they exist in our (ie, the audience’s) memories, and survive (like the lost episodes) as memories.

    I was only looping back about 5 years – t…[Read more]
