@ScaryB Me too – AWOL and excited. I’ve been keeping an eye on things but just needed a bit of a break – hey, Davies and Moffat had them too!

To post a pic it must be on the internet already.

Then copy the link to the image (not the full web page – you can right-click on the image and ‘Open image in new tab/window’ to get the URL)

    Then use the…[Read more]

    @blenkinsopthebrave Many thanks.

The text is only light because it’s closed to comments – it will be fine when I open it.

I wanted to get it up and ready, but didn’t want comments until people have actually seen the episode – especially given the polarising nature of the first female Doctor.

Although I’m sure we’ll still get a few moaning about…[Read more]

  • The Woman Who Fell To Earth

Hi all, I took a much needed break but like the Doctor, I’m back and re-energised, if not regenerated. Apologies for the break in transmission.

But let’s get to the point. The Doctor is back and she’s a whole new woman, with a whole new showrunner too in Chris Chibnall. It’s a whole new era.

I haven’t seen this yet but early reports are…[Read more]

@tempusfugit I do apologise. Bots can’t sign up but there is nothing I can do against real people, until they reveal the are spammers.

Once again – you have my apologies.

  • Craig replied to the topic Website comments (2)

@bluesqueakpip I have “spammed” them. I’ve “spammed” four new members today. Once again, not much I can do as they are real people, not bots. Sorry about the emails – does seem a busy day for them. The schools are back today – is that a factor? Who knows?

  • Craig replied to the topic Website comments (2)

@thane16 Many thanks Puro – I’ve marked them as a spammer.

  • Craig replied to the topic On The Sofa (9)

For your convenience, here are all 3 parts of the Steven Moffat interview done by the Fan Show, the last of which was published today (not sure why it took them 7 months between part 2 and 3, but there you go).

  • Craig replied to the topic The Maldovarium

Once again, I have to apologise for my absence. I really hope to be back again now and will be posting more episodes soon.

I’ve been a little distracted. If you don’t know (not sure if I mentioned it), my department got closed down so my colleagues and I all lost our jobs. Then I got another job, and got fired from that after a month. But I was…[Read more]

Thanks @fatmaninabox I’ve deleted the account. It’s the easiest option.

  • Craig replied to the topic On The Sofa (9)

Sorry I’ve not been around – real life got in the way a bit again.

Thought you might like this though – Russell T Davies and Steven Moffat talking about their new book adaptations of “Rose” and “The Day of the Doctor”.

  • The second entry in our Female Time Lord retrospective. Broadcast at the start of 1978 (so we just missed its 40th anniversary) The Invasion of Time features Tom Baker as the fourth Doctor, is a six parter, and it was the climax to the 15th season of Doctor Who.

After signing a treaty with enemy aliens the Doctor, along with Leela and K9,…[Read more]

Jodie Whittaker is getting a lot of good reviews for her role in Journeyman. She looks great and Paddy Considine looks like he’s done a fantastic job as actor, writer and director. I’ll be checking it out.

@pedant (and just to include @jimthefish ) Many thanks. Have dealt with the one that posted the spam. I also noticed a few other dodgy ones but am reluctant to jump to conclusions. I mean, slickhotness and fdsa may be very dedicated Doctor Who fans. I’m not counting on it, but innocent until proven guilty.

Once again, thanks for keeping an eye out.

  • Craig started the topic The Aztecs part 4

The final episode is “The Day of Darkness”, referencing the imminent solar eclipse. Ian narrowly escapes drowning in the tunnel and finds his way into the tomb. Can the TARDIS team escape before Tlotoxl’s plans bring them all down?

I have to admit that this is the first time I’ve properly watched this from start to finish, having seen bits of…[Read more]

  • Craig replied to the topic The Aztecs part 3

P.S. Sorry for the late post. Also, I’m afraid I’m going away for around 10 days or so you’ll have to wait on tenterhooks for a bit longer than normal for the final episode.

After that, we should get back to a more regular service.

  • Craig started the topic The Aztecs part 3

The third episode is “The Bride of Sacrifice” and it starts with Barbara saving Ian following the contest with Ixta. Ixta tells Tlotoxl about The Doctor’s plans to find an entrance to the tomb and his suspicions are aroused.

Meanwhile, with another sacrifice planned in a few days to coincide with an eclipse, Barbara tries to win over Autloc so…[Read more]

  • Craig started the topic The Aztecs part 2

The second episode is “The Warriors of Death” and it picks up where we left off, with Tlotoxl’s threat to destroy Barbara for being a false god. He begins to put his plans in place and things start to go badly pretty quickly for team TARDIS.

Tlotoxl has Barbara separated from the others so that Autloc may question her to see if she has the…[Read more]

And did I mention Barbara is a total badass?

  • Craig started the topic The Aztecs part 1

As the first entry in our Female Time Lord retrospective, and because I just didn’t get time to post it during our First Doctor retrospective, we’re going to be discussing “The Aztecs”. The story starts with the ominously titled episode “The Temple of Evil”. That adds more fuel to my supposition that George Lucas is a fan.

    I don’t think Susan…[Read more]

Hello everyone, I’ve been unemployed now for just over a week and loving every moment of it so far.

Having taken some time to celebrate, relax my mind and consider what I’m going to do next, one of my priorities is to get this site going again. So starting tomorrow we will, as @bluesqueakpip suggested up thread, start a female Time Lord…[Read more]
