@bluesqueakpip  if Sarah Dollard has seriously written a script that says ‘Don’t try to be the Doctor, girls, you’ll only get yourself hurt. Your job is to be the companion,’ then she ought to be ashamed.

Dollard has nothing to be ashamed of.  The message you see here would be, IMO, better stated this way: “Don’t try to be a powerful, quasi-imm…[Read more]

Chill dude – had you read on you would have found you got caught in something not really to do with the forum (which reiterates that we know only a limited amount about our little global family).

And on the topic about which you deployed the royal ‘we’, ask yourself if you would have felt the same had Sally Sparrow – arguably the…[Read more]

Oooh. I’ll nip over in a second and have a look.

    @juniperfish

I’m guessing Time Lords. I think a lot of us thought that Ashildr had gained knowledge of the Time Lords from Missy. What if Missy is acting as an agent of the Time Lords?

Looking at CapDoc in this, I can’t help but remember the furious eyebrows in Day of the Doctor.

Yes, Could the ‘Great Intelligence’ be a threat to the Doctor thru this new regeneration set?
Doubtful I agree. So is there a time limit on Claricles? Probably. This Claradox
has to either end or evolve. Doesn’t feel like Clara will get some heroic end like previous
companions. So maybe the hybrid idea was about Clara being…[Read more]

@hudsey Wow!  Brilliant theory!  I believe the Claricle issue was never received and the girl in the Library could possibly be a Clara still, which will have to be dealt with for the return of River.  I’m glad to see people don’t see my Nightmare Child theory as too bonkers anymore.  🙂    I really do think Achildr is the Knigh…[Read more]

Lots of great ideas here as always. (Can I just say how happy I am that on this forum, people come on and say what they liked or didn’t, what worked for them or didn’t, as opposed to simply “sucked” or the equivalent?) Here are some thoughts that your thoughts inspired in me.

On the subject of the Master/Missy’s daughter I have just a few words for you to consider: “What you kept you old man?”

  • Miapatrick replied to the topic The Witch’s Familiar

@hudsey I think Missy made it clear earlier on that the slime were, understandably, resentful of the still functioning Dalek who still get to move around in cases… and the confession dial came in throughout the two episodes… yes sometimes here the theories are more insane than what is actually happening, but as @Bluesqueakpip says, a lot of thi…[Read more]

    nothing has really changed.

    Everything has just changed. Everything.

The Daleks have a concept of mercy. Hidden away inside them, like the tiny seed that can grow into a giant oak.

The Daleks aren’t, by nature, totally evil. They want to rebuild their home – so they understand ‘home’. They understand ‘parent’ (and show care for their…[Read more]

@Hudsey I think you have good ideas! I’m on board with the notion of Missy ‘creep’
into Clara especially. Clara’s purple tights you know 😉 I’ve always felt that
when Clara was rescued from the Doctor’s timeline she came out a Claricle. All
the claricles are all about saving the Doctor. It wouldn’t surprise me if Clara dies
    saving the Doctor…[Read more]

Such a lot to unpack in this episode that I scarcely feel up to commenting, even after a second viewing this morning.  I was slightly worried that it might end up a bit OTT, in the manner of an R T D finale, but no, in my  judgement it wasn’t.  The balance between the personal – individuals forced by moral dilemmas to examine themselves and inter…[Read more]

In a strange timey wimey coincidence I found myself watching a bit of Spielberg’s TinTin tonight… part scripted by one S Moffat – his last job before he went off to showrun DW.

@Hudsey  I don’t call them by numbers.  Simpler to call them by name.   The Hartnell Doctor, the Troughton Doctor, etc.  I think it works better, since the names have a visual association.

You can always find something you don’t like when you stubbornly keep looking for it. It saddens me that so many in the interwebs feel entitled to so much ARSE. Telling them what they should have done. Moffat has packed so much in this one episode. I was afraid there would not be enough time to get through it all in time but he managed it…[Read more]
