Hi from Italy guys, i’m back for another round.
After the experience of Class(series that i loved) i finally started the season 10.
For the final year originally i want twelve alone without a companion, i think that he might add a original taste <u>and</u> change to the show and a challenge for Capaldi but…..i like this new companion, there is a good chemistry between Pearl and Capaldi…..an hybrid of Susan and Rose for me.</p>
<p dir=”ltr”>This first two episodes was very simple but good, a nice new beginning. I only hope that the depth and the adult tone of the season 8 and 9 is not lost! I found maybe too light and humoristic tone in this first two hours…like the pre-Capaldi era.</p>

Hi guys!! finally a new Doctor Who episode.

It was a nice christmas special…at first i was suspicious(another omage to the superheroes movies? even Moffat?) but in the second half i started to like the dynamics of the events and the characters as well.

Good callbacks to the last christmas episode(Nardole and the the villains from The Husbands of River Song) and from season 9 in general….another Hybrid created by the Doctor.

I love the puppet, i think it was the best thing of the episode xD

I saw yesterday the Doctor Who pilot for the first time.
I loved it. Very simple but very effective, a great mini mistery story that introduced the first Doctor in a very wonderful way with human point of view.
I heard something, but i don’t know quite well the character of Susan, i’m curious for the next.

I just saw ”The Husbands Of River Song”

Delicious Christmas special.

A nostalgic and melancholy Moffat. After a second goodbye to Clara in “Hel Bent” he did the same thing to River just one episode later. Wonderful to see River (post Manhattan) again for the last time and most importantly the chemistry with Capaldi is incredible!! How good is the scene when River realize the truth about the Doctor? A truly magic moment.

a few weeks back I predicted the hybrid glasses-screwdriver and i was right. wonderful.

Guys, in “Hell Bent” there is another Moffat’s joke about a woman time lord. I think that after Capaldi we’ll see finally a Woman-Doctor.

The hybrid can be anything, like the doctor said in this episode.
Eventually and with time, Clara and Ashildr could turn against Gallifrey! Who knows.

Another three questions/curiosity guys:

1) The Time Lords meets the Doctor (for the first time) after “Day Of The Doctor” only four billions years in the future…so this was the last time for Gallifrey and Time Lords on the show?

2) Who really gave the rigeneration energy to Smith in Trenzalore? Rassillon and counsel of Gallifrey?

3) After 4 billion years, why the time lords are exactly the same and with the same faces and the same rigeneration of “the day of the doctor”? After 300 years at trenzalore with the same face the Doctor he had becomes really old.

Recently i saw “Hell Bent” (three times)
This time we are very near to perfection. (I think) i found my new favourite Who episode..even better than “Dark Water”.
“Hell Bent” maybe warp the sense of hope and the final message of “The Day of The Doctor” and changes again the rules like Moffat’s tradition but remains an impressive and very deep hour of television.
I like the Moffat approach to this finale, the opposite of what i expected after the ending of “Heavent Sent”…. not an epic and action conclusion but a very intimate and touching finale all dedicate to the characters with still a lot of emotional moments….the heart of the episode is not Gallifrey but again the Clara-Doctor relationship..i loved that.
At this point, i never expected to see the real Clara again, i had lost all of my hopes, the opening credits at the diner with her and the Doctor playing the Clara theme…wow that was a twist. Another Moffat brillant and twisted idea to bring her back.
I like the Ashildr interpretaton about the hybrid…maybe there are two hybrid but i have a better theory, the hybrid is not the combination of the Doctor and Clara together..the hybrid is born only in the final scene…Clara and Ashildr= the true hybrid..  that is a very danger combination, i want the spinoff now! awesome ending…reminds me a lot the Doctor’s daughter final moment in the season 4.
The screwdriver is back oh my god! Just now that i started to loved the glasses…but maybe he can use both.

So… like i said,very near to the perfection, the only thing…maybe i wanted a little more Gallifrey stuff in the first part.

Congrats again to Moffat for this amazing season and also to Rachel Talalay…wonderful director! her work on “Hell Bent” is very similar for the tone at “Dark Water”.

The Clara cameo reminds me a lot the Amy cameo from “The Time Of The Doctor” with the hand on the cheek. Very similar and both for the last goodbye.

Sadly i never watched the original/classic series! How many companion have died in the show history before Clara? She’s the first?

I’m glad for her cameo in this episode, a final goodbye to the Doctor.
I’m still crying for “Face The Raven” by the way.

Guys i rewatch “Heave Sent” again and i have a doubt about one thing in the episode, maybe is a deliberate mistake.

In the castle there is food, edible food and the flowers are still fresh…so…why the Clara painting is old and eroded by time?

Gallifrey..Gallifrey! Finally!

God, It was huge, so much stuff in just one episode.
Definitely the most hard trial for the Doctor in recent history…the 300 years exile at Trenzalore are nothing compared to this. Two billions years..and at least one billions and half of copy..my god poor Doctor. I wonder now, how the loop has begun with the original Doctor and the first clues on the castle. We’ll never know.
And..at the end, Gallifrey was behind all that? Why? And most important…i’m confused about the confession dial, what was his role in all that?
The arc of the season is the hybrid, finally we know. It’s official! What a chliffanger, the Doctor is the hybrid…we sure? Another joke of Moffat? Oh god my head explode.

Congrats to Moffat and Rachel Talalay, what a great hour of television, i still prefer “Dark Water” from the same duo…but Heaven Sent is almost there at the same level.

Murray Gold pure Gold. best work of the season and maybe…of the series. Incredible. I want now the deluxe cd edition.

Guys one question about Clara.
Remember the Clara paradox of the season 7? Is possible that Clara return in the next years and meet again the future reincarnation of the Doctor?

I saw “Face The Raven”

I had the smart idea to see the episode at midnight so….of course, no good sleeping night yesterday.
I don’t know if i’m mad with Moffat or not, but i know that as a huge fan of Clara i’m still in shock. I try to think why the writers made the choice to kill Clara now at her best… and at first i thought at another joke like the “Snowmen” scenario but then i realize this…Clara in the last two years she’s turn in the smartest,brave and cleaver traveler in the story of Doctor Who but this is the problem…she’s become another Doctor and no more a companion! They no longer coexsist…the same face of the same coin….but still the best Doctor and the best companion, now it’s hard to do best.
I liked Ashildr but now is on my black list too.

What happen to the Doctor? He leaves the earth? I smell Davros!…so he forgot that Clara is dead? Ashildr said that who leaves the hidden city no longer remember.

Ps. I need a second rewatch because i’m still in shock but i heard some beautiful moment from Murray Gold this week.

Gatiss is a lot better of Chibnall! I hope in a two showrunners..maybe who knows! An year is a long time. We must send some letters to him. 3 episodes(in two years) of sherlock is not a big deal.

By the way,I can’t wait to see the second part, i hope in another Gatiss script to end the story, this monday i watch face the raven.

I just saw “Sleep No More”
Maybe not good like the previous episodes but again, a solid and strong 44 minutes. A little confusing in some point of the plot( i need a second rewatch) but brillant and genious in others. This new enemy of the dirty-eyes-sleep dust is so weird and awesome at the same time, congrats to the great Mark Gatiss, maybe the most original new enemy in Doctor Who(xD)
Now i’m curious to see how the story end in the second part.

Guys one curiosity, i know it’s late for that now but….i want Mark Gatiss as the new showrunner of the show! I love this man and i think is very similar as writer to Moffat! And he knows the series very well, is on the team since the season 1.
Opinions? I’m the only one?

I just saw “The Zygon Inversion”
Damn, it was sublime. 45 minutes gone in a flash.
Definitely the most political and provoking Who episode in a long time, bravo to Hartness and Moffat! A drama war with a strong and delicate moral thematic, the final speech of the Doctor was pure gold. No longer a series for kids.
Just a few weeks later in another review i talk about the Capaldi talent and the monologue moment of the Doctor, more and more often used by the writers in the twelve era….now, this, from the ”Zygon Inversion” maybe is not a monologue but yet again a masterpiece performance from the best Doctor ever! Capaldi gets better every weeks, i’m always impressed.
Also a great performance from Jenna Coleman in “Zygella”(xD) character….and Clara wow, more smart and cleaver in this episode! Now has saved the Doctor even in a telepatic-sleep state. This Doctor and this companion has elevated the series more than ever.

I have a question/curiosity guys, now i’m near to the end! Just 4 ep left.
“Dark Water” from the season 8 is my favourite Who episode of all time! What should i have to expect from this finale?

I just saw “The Zygon Invasion”
Another strong episode. This kind of grotesque earth-alien episode reminds me alot the season 1-2, the years of Russel T.Davies…but in a good way of course.
Nice to see again the Zygon after the “Day of The Doctor”, cleaver way to reintroduce them…and Osgood!!
I loved the ending twist with the Zygon-Clara and the plain…awesome chliffhanger. I guess that Jenna Coleman has a lot of fun to play a evil Clara!
Nice to hear again the music theme of a lot of moment from “The Day Of The Doctor”…again..kneel before Murray Gold.
Now i can’t wait to see the second part this weekend.

The Capaldi talent i think at the end of the day that ispires the writers and the story as well.
You can imagine the Beethoven speech plays by Smith?
The opening of “Listen” and “Before The Flood” exist only for Capaldi.
I found more monologue moment in the Capaldi saga than before.

All the Doctor are great but i think that Capaldi is the most talented actor-Doctor until now…and Moffat magic touch and more deep rappresentation make him an unforgettable Doctor.

I hope that Capaldi overcome the standard three years.

I just saw ”The Woman Who Lived ”
Not good as ”The Girl Who Died” but still a very important piece of the arc(?) of the season.
Nice to see Ashildr again so soon but maybe is too convenient that Doctor casualy meet her two weeks after, in another timeline.
Maisie Williams…very strong performance in this episode, she’s already fitt in very well in the Doctor Who universe! I like the open ending of her caracter as protector and guidance of the companions! I’m glad that she’s not become like a sort of Davros 2.0

I’ve noticed one thing in this season… ok, we know that Clara….well, she the best companion ever…but the doctor is so over protecttive with her this year! I don’t remember Smith acted like this with Amy.

1)if the doctor have consider to take other chips from the other four,five aliens elmet in the barn for future need.
2)It’s more difficult every week knows when the doctor change the time and when it’s become part of the event like in “before the flood” so..the Ashildr story has always happen?

I just watched the episode.
Again, another superb 44 minutes! The season 8 is my favourite year of Doctor Who but i think i might change my mind if this is the level for the rest of the season.
Maisie Williams, what a surprise and great add! Ashildr have a great potential for a strong character at long term…i hope the writers do not forget about her, like the Doctor’s daughter that, we don’t see from years xD
I’m impresse about the explanation of Capaldi recast, in Doctor Who nothing if left to chance…now Moffat have to think something else for Capaldi-Torchwood aswell..maybe is a descendant of the Pompei character.

Murray Gold best score of the season, god i love this man, is a maestro.

Hy guys, sorry i have another question about the Davros timeline.
Davros has always have the screwdriver(the icon of the doctor) since that day in the field! How is possible that realize only recently(like he said in the opening of the ep) that the man it was the Doctor? It make sense for you?
Screwdriver, blue box= the doctor.

For me it not make sense, the only two explanation..
1)maybe Davros have recently found the screwdriver in his “house” after all this time and connect.
2) Davros always knows, but he want preserve the timeline

I just watched the second part.
They reintroduced the double episodes format like in the first years, i think is a nice moves.
The first part “Under The Lake” it was an ok episode, but this second part…wow, truly amazing and adrenalinic like the wonderful double premiere.
Smart and clever lesson from the writer Whithouse about the logic and the conseguences of time travel and paradox! The final spech of the doctor in the Tardis shows what Bob Gale had to do in “Back To The Future Part 3”.

Only two thing i wonder
1) In the opening scene the Doctor is talking to Clara after the confusion of Davros plot? Or with himself?
2)The guest star of the episode O’donnell remembers the old companion of the Doctor(Rose, Martha, Amy) but this woman lives in the year 2118! I think is too convenient that not quote at least one or two of the 20 future companion.

Hi guys, i loved the episode but i have a question about the continuity that bother me.
The mercy line, the doctor and boy-davros…all of this is always happen from the beginning right?
So Davros should remember that the Doctor have save his life! But when the doctor said “i left you to die in that field” why Davros don’t tell anything to correct the doctor?
